People's interests have evolved historically. At present, they are multifaceted, absolutely versatile, they should be considered in combination with the lifestyle, upbringing, age and habits of each. Obviously, the interests of older people will differ from those of young people, if only because the needs of each age are not the same. Interest always motivates a person to act to one degree or another: the higher it is, the greater the desire to know the subject as best as possible.
People's interests can be classified according to their duration, social significance, areas of life, as well as the nature of subjects, focus and interaction.
For example, according to the nature of their orientation, they are divided into economic, social, political and spiritual. Spiritual interests do not aim at material enrichment, but are aimed at personal development, gaining experience, increasing potential and emotional saturation of life. The economic interests of people are always aimed at deriving benefit or benefit from economic relations.
According to the degree of social significance, vital, important and unimportant interests are distinguished. Different people can classify the same interest in different ways. For example, for someone it is very important to get a higher education and get a well-paid job, while someone puts this interest almost in the last place, and prefers to develop in the spiritual sphere.
Often in everyday situations we are faced with conflicts of interest. This happens when different parties claim the same thing or goal. Whether a conflict situation arises and how it ends depends on several factors:
- On the type of personality. If there are people of the same character - persistent, decisive and strong in spirit - then there will certainly be a conflict. If at least one side knows how to negotiate and make concessions, then a controversial situation can be avoided.
- From good manners and civility of the parties. If people are not inherent in aggressiveness, greed, anger and other negative traits, then they will try to find a compromise. A well-bred person will always watch his words and deeds and never lead to a critical moment.
- From the personal relationship between the parties. If the participants in the emerging conflict respect each other, if they value interpersonal relationships, then they will find a way to resolve the dispute peacefully.
From now on, in order not to develop a conflict of interest, one should resort to one of the following methods: either turn it into a competition, or find a compromise, or avoid disputes,or agree to the conditions of the opponent.
Obviously, at different stages of existence, the same interests undergo significant changes, as they are very dynamic in nature. Thus, the interests of people largely reflect their goals and orientation, and also to a large extent determine the entire life path. And at the same time, life itself leaves its mark and influences their interest.
