We are all familiar with the term meditation. Moreover, each person, without realizing it, can be in a state of meditation for some time. For example, this is a period when we are very focused on something, or when the heart stops for a few moments in quivering moments. All this is a kind of meditation.

But for a person who purposefully would like to learn how to meditate, it is important to understand what meditation is and why it is needed, what techniques exist and how to do it correctly. This will be discussed in the article.

What is meditation

So, meditation is a special technique of concentration and relaxation at the same time. The state when thoughts are directed to one goal or the mind is completely cleared of thoughts. It depends on the technique used and its purpose. Of course, this is spiritual work on oneself. Many consider meditation to be a supernatural process, because unusual abilities can manifest themselves, such as levitation or mind reading. Suchcases were recorded in ancient times, but this is fact or fiction, there is no direct evidence.

During meditation, a person turns off his mind, becomes unconscious, and at that moment the body rests without action or thought. Or we set ourselves up for a certain state - happiness, spiritual and bodily he alth, inner joy and much more, direct our thoughts in one direction and concentrate on this. Agree, quite often the mind and various aggravating thoughts prevent us from relaxing.

Science says that meditation is a process in which, due to a special breathing technique, actions in the cerebral cortex slow down. When a person performs meditation, the whole body relaxes, the consciousness “floats” and the brain falls into a state between sleep and reality. At such moments, various new sensations and emotions can arise. Of course, scientists deny the supernatural nature of this process, since all phenomena are explained by slow brain activity, a state of half sleep.

Why meditation is needed

Many people who practice meditation use it to bring their consciousness into balance, to return inner harmony. Meditation helps with the development of various practices, as well as some martial arts.

In other words, if a person is anxious about something, he is worried about some life situation or problem, he is stressed for one reason or another, then meditation will be an excellent means of dealing with these personality-disturbing factors. This will help you calm down andrelax, moreover, the breathing technique will also benefit the body.

If we talk about the scientific point of view on meditation again, this is probably one of the easiest ways to learn how to manage your psycho-physiological state, emotions, restrain anger and other negative emotions, let go and not keep evil in yourself, strengthen your creative ability and work efficiency.

A Brief History of Meditation

Meditation takes its history from ancient times and can be traced in parallel with religion. In past ages, people used chants, repetition of the same words, and other means to communicate with the gods.

The first mention of this process appeared in India around the 15th century BC in the tradition of Hindu Vedantism. It is the Vedas that describe the technique of meditation.

Later, between the 6th and 5th century BC, other forms of meditation appear (in Indian Buddhism and Chinese Taoism). In the 20s BC there are records of the religious thinker Philo of Alexandria, who describes "spiritual exercises", the essence of which is concentration and attention. Three centuries later, meditation techniques are developed by the philosopher Plotinus (one of the first philosophers of Ancient Greece).

Buddhist scriptures say that Indian Buddhist meditation is a kind of step towards liberation. The religion is spreading in China, where references to the use of meditation go back to the school of Zen (100 BC).

Spread meditation from India began thanks tothe movement of caravans along the Silk Road, which connected East Asia and the Mediterranean. This process became more and more popular, and more and more people took up this practice.

Later, in the 60s of the 20th century, meditation spread in the West and became the object of scientific study, during which it was possible to find out exactly how it affects the body and what processes occur or, conversely, do not occur in a state of meditative trans.

Today, meditation techniques are used in psychotherapy as a means of neutralizing negative emotions, stress and developing positive thinking and inner peace.

Osho Meditation

Chandra Mohan Rajneesh, or Osho, is an Indian philosopher who authored over 140 different meditation techniques. It was Osho who developed the techniques of not only “sitting” meditations, but also moving ones.

The main goal of Osho meditation is to put the mind aside and make yourself an empty vessel; get rid of your ego, while gaining enlightenment. Osho believed that in order to get to your soul, you need the ability to turn off the mind, since the main obstacle in life for a person is himself. The main paradox of Osho's teachings is “when emptying, a person is filled.”

You can't call a particular technique "the best meditation." Everyone chooses what he likes. Some people prefer static meditations, others prefer dynamic ones. It is important to find the technique in which it is possible to achieve the main goals of meditation - harmony. Here are some of Osho's meditation techniques: Vipassana, Osho's dynamic meditation and Kundalini.

These are just a few examples of this guru's varied meditation techniques. Osho's meditation, as the philosopher himself and supporters of his teachings believed, helps to find inner harmony, peace and joy, the ability to be yourself.

Vipassana technique

This type of meditation should take place in absolute silence. You need to find a comfortable place where you can sit for 45-60 minutes, and meditate every day in the same place and at the same time.

Vipassana is not practiced for the purpose of concentration. This technique is characterized by relaxation. Keep your back straight, eyes closed, breathe naturally and listen to your breathing.

Dynamic meditation

As already noted, meditation can be mobile and alive. That is, it is not necessary to take a comfortable position and stay in it for a long period. For people who cannot meditate still, dynamic meditation will do. The energy that comes out at the moment of the second stage allows the body to relax and release excess tension.

Performed within an hour in 5 stages. Eyes must be closed or bandaged. It is better to meditate on this technique on an empty stomach in comfortable clothes. You can keep track of time with a timer. If you can’t make noise in the room, let it be meditation of the body, and the mantra can be pronounced mentally.

The first stage lasts 10 minutes. You need to breathe through the nose and deeply, concentration on the exhale.

The second stage is also 10 minutes. It is necessary to give an outlet for energy - jump, shout, shake,dance, sing, laugh, move the whole body. You need to be "crazy", not to involve the mind in this process. Just move.

In the third stage, for 10 minutes, you need to jump with your hands up and repeat the mantra “Hu! Hu! Hu! You need to land on the whole foot.

The fourth stage lasts 15 minutes. It is necessary to freeze in the position in which you were at the time of the signal. You just need to be in this state, do not cough, do not sneeze, do not speak, freeze.

The last, fifth stage also lasts 15 minutes. It is necessary to dance and rejoice, be filled with happiness, expressing gratitude to everything.

Kundalini Technique

Meditation to be done at sunset for an hour. The first three stages of it are performed to music, and the last one is performed in silence.

In the first stage, you need to start shaking the whole body in a standing position for 15 minutes. It is necessary to shake, preparing internal energy for release.

In the second stage, you need to start randomly dancing for 15 minutes. Dance can be anything you want: you can jump, run, move as your body wants.

In the third stage, you need to freeze, stay still for 15 minutes, feeling what is happening outside and inside. You have freed yourself from energy, its great flow, and now just contemplate how something new is flowing in your veins. Feel this state.

At the fourth stage, you need to take a prone position and lie without moving with your eyes closed (15 minutes).

Cleansing through meditation

If you often experience moral exhaustion, stress and anxiety prevent you from thinking soberly and working effectively, then a special meditation will help you cleanse yourself. Purification takes place on a spiritual level. That is, we clear our minds of all the “garbage” and negativity that has accumulated there and weighs us down.

This technique is described in the book "Sensei" by Anastasia Novykh and is easy to perform. So, the starting position is standing, legs should be placed shoulder-width apart. We place our hands at the level of the abdomen, touching with spread fingers - thumb to thumb, index to index, etc. This is then necessary to close the circle in which the energy moves, this is spiritually, but in the physical, such contact has a beneficial effect on the brain due to the large number of nerve endings at the fingertips. Next, you need to relax and clear your head of thoughts. Watch your breath, it will help.

After achieving complete relaxation, you need to imagine yourself as a jug, the source of water for which is the soul. Imagine that water fills the entire body, and, reaching the edges of the vessel, pours out through the top of the body, going into the ground.

Together with this water, all negative thoughts, anxiety flow away, internal cleansing occurs. If you do this meditation daily, a person will learn to control his thoughts, keeping them “clean and tidy.”

Everyone would like to secure a good future for themselves, to attract success. Cleansing meditation can be used for this. Creating a successful future in this casewill be based on the fact that a person has known himself, recognized his true desires and cleared himself of all obstacles and negative thoughts that could interfere in the process of working on himself and his future.

Meditation technique for attracting a loved one for men

It has already been said above that you can meditate not only for the purpose of purification. There is also concentration meditation, and one of its subspecies is meditation on a person. This type of meditation involves attracting love into your life, approaching or even inviting happiness into your life.

In Hinduism there is an ancient mantra - "Klim". According to the records, this mantra is able to create an attraction that brings love into a person's life. More often this mantra is used by men to attract the love of a woman.

This mantra changes the vibration of your energy. To start meditation, you need to take a comfortable position, calm down and focus on the sounds of the mantra. When repeating the mantra, it is necessary to pronounce it correctly, the sound “and” should be drawn out. And while repeating, listen to the sounds of the mantra. Repeat order:

- repeat the Klim mantra 6 times as you exhale, at this point you need to focus on the dorsal chakra;

- 6 more times repeat the mantra, but the focus is already on the navel chakra;

- 6 reps on the solar plexus chakra;

- 6 reps on the heart chakra;

- 6 reps, throat chakra;

- third eye chakra, 6 repetitions of the mantra;

- crown chakra, 6 reps;

- oncefor the right eye chakra, one for the left;

- once for each of the cerebral hemispheres;

- once for each ear;

- once for each nostril;

- and one repetition each, concentrating on the chakras of the mouth and tongue.

Thus, the mantra should resonate throughout the body.

Then in the evening it will be necessary to write the Klim mantra 108 or more times. The more times you write, the stronger the effect will be. While writing the mantra, also repeat it silently or out loud.

Meditation technique for attracting a loved one for women

Meditation to attract a loved one and happy events for women is to imagine yourself in a comfortable, heavenly place, among flowers or by the sea. It is necessary to be in a relaxed state and imagine the sounds of the surf, the sound of the waves, the pleasant sand and the sun.

Imagine that rays of energy emanate from you. It is the energy of love that you are willing to give and receive. Then you need to imagine that a person is approaching you. It is not necessary to focus on a specific image, it may just be a silhouette. It is necessary to feel the exchange of energies and the opening of the soul. The point is to remove blocks and fears of not meeting your love.

You may not realize that this hinders happiness. It is meditation that helps to cleanse oneself of doubts and direct one’s energy towards happiness and love. Happy events and love will start to come into your life as soon as youfully open in readiness to receive these events. It is very important. Meditation to attract happiness, a loved one, success into your life will not have a special correct technique that excludes mistakes. If a person is not ready to accept even small joys with gratitude, because he simply could not consider them, then he is not ready for happiness either.

Meditation is the way to self-knowledge, self-improvement, spiritual development. In this case, the saying “thoughts are material” is true. The best meditation is one that is done with an understanding of the essence of this process. You need to believe with all your heart that love will come, the main thing is that you are ready for this.
