Apanaevskaya mosque (photo and description of the temple will be presented in this article) began to be built in 1767, and was finally erected back in 1771. According to other sources, this mosque was built in 1768-1769. It is known that this temple was built with funds from the stock of a famous merchant named Yakup Sultangaleev. In another way, this mosque is called Baiskaya, or the Second Cathedral. It bears its current name in honor of its current owners, the Apanaev family, who took possession of the building back in the 18th century.
Employees of the mosque
There is information that the holy fathers who still serve in the temple are considered the best guides of the Lord in the open spaces of the city of Kazan.
Salih Sagitov was a real pioneer among the imams of this mosque. This man left a mark in the history of the temple as one of the best teachers of religion. In the same mosque, such theologians as Fakhrutdin hazret served their service to the Lord God,Salakhutdin bin Ishaq, as well as Tazetdin bin Bashir. At the end of the 19th century, the father and son of Salikhov were recognized as the most authoritative holy fathers of this mosque.
History of construction
As is known from the works of Shibagutdin Marjani, Yakub gave a huge supply of his own strength, money and time to the construction of this mosque. Murza's he alth has also deteriorated significantly here, and all in order to show the students how to build a real mosque and what to invest in it.
In order to set a worthy example, the founder of the mosque, not alone, but together with his wife, helped drag the brick blocks and pour the foundation for the building. In addition, Yakub, specifically in order to cover the mosque with a roof, attracted a master from the capital. The situation was complicated by the fact that Kazan then could not boast of the presence of such masters.
Origin of the name
Today, this mosque is named after the merchant dynasty of the Apanaevs, who have maintained God's abode almost from the day it was founded. The name of the Baiskaya and Cave mosques can also be tied to this, since the famous caves are located very close to the building. Another version says about the connection between the name of the mosque and the relief of the shore on which it stands.
Appearance
The design of the walls of the building skillfully combines Baroque from Moscow of that time and the Old Russian style, which is why visitors to this place are natives of different cities and countries, as well as representatives of different ethnic groups. The one whodeveloped a plan for the mosque and gave it a "start in life", still remains unknown. Initially, the Apanaevskaya mosque consisted of only one hall and a minaret with 8 faces. At the beginning of 1872, according to the project developed by the professor of architectural art Romanov, the mosque acquired a new look by adding an additional building. This extension does not argue at all with the first design option, but only emphasizes the extraordinary grandeur and solemnity of the building.
It is worth going back to history and say that back in 1882 the mosque began to be surrounded by a high and reliable brick fence with a one-story shop. Since the beginning of 1882, the mosque has been surrounded by a wide fence with a built-in bench for church utensils and candles. In 1887, this shop was built on and an additional floor was added to it.
Difficult times
On February 6, 1930, by decision of the TATCIK organization, the mosque was liquidated, and later all adjacent buildings were destroyed by fascist organizations. Subsequently, the building was delimited into 3 separate floors and operated in any way, but not for its intended purpose. Since then, this mosque has been destroyed by vandals beyond recognition, and only some brick elements of the foundation could survive.
New life
In 1995, the Apanaevskaya Mosque (address: Kazan, Kayum Nasyri St., 27) was given to the full disposal of the Muhammadiya Madrasah, and in the interval from 2007 to 2011, a global reconstruction was carried out in the entire fortress. The minaret was also completely restored and the demarcation into 2 floors was recreated, adopted in those years. Then the rank of Imam-Khatyba was held by a deeply respected clergyman named Valiulla Yakupov. The years of service of this elder begin in 1963 and end in 2012. This man tried his best to work so that the Apanaevskaya mosque in Kazan would soon be restored to its previous state and even become much better than it was designed earlier.
The process of restoring the mosque and all adjacent premises has become much easier thanks to the solid assistance of the ruling bodies of Tatarstan in the person of Mintimer Shaimiev and Rustam Minnikhanov, people who occupy far from the last place in the power of the republic.
The official opening ceremony of the renovated mosque took place on December 2, 2011. There is information that the President of Tatarstan personally attended this event.
To this day, the mosque continues to hold lectures with the participation of the most famous representatives of the clergy and directly the founders of the temple. Lectures on religion are held in both Tatar and Russian, which makes the action accessible to the understanding of the inhabitants of Russia.
