Practically in every country in the world there are peoples who profess Islam. Most of them are in the Middle East. Due to the tragic events that periodically occur in the world, representatives of other religions have an ambiguous attitude towards Islam today. This article will focus on the spread of Islam. This word in Arabic is associated with such concepts as "calm", "peace", "integrity".

Muslims live in 26 Asian countries. Here are some of them:

  • Iran;
  • Iraq;
  • Saudi Arabia;

  • Algeria;
  • Egypt;
  • Sudan and others.

Also, most representatives of the Muslim faith live in Albania and Turkey. There are 16 million people in the European Union who practice Islam. That's 4% of the population.

What peoplesprofess Islam in the vast Russian Federation? This faith is here in second place after Christianity. Orthodoxy in Russia covers 70% of the population, the Muslim faith - 20%. Islam is especially strongly developed in the North Caucasus, the Volga region, and the Urals. In these regions, most people consider the Quran to be the holy book.

Percentage spread of Islam in other countries:

  • 4.5% in Austria;
  • 5% in Switzerland;
  • 8% in London;
  • 18% in Germany;
  • 12% in the French capital.

Most Muslims are among the Tatars - 7 million. This people settled throughout the Russian Federation. Only 1.7 million of them live in their native Tatarstan. Almost the entire population of Chechnya also professes Islam. Every year the number of followers of the Koran is growing in the world.

Classical Islam

Next, let's talk about traditional Islam. This also explains why Muslims have become feared all over the world. The term "traditional" is not correct in principle, regardless of which peoples profess Islam. At its core, there is no "non-traditional" form. The confusion has been brought about by groups of people who call themselves Wahhabis. They lead astray people who are far from this faith. They talk about "pure Islam", of which they consider themselves to be representatives. Such “pseudo-Islam” casts a shadow over the fence, which is why ordinary Muslims had to use the term “traditional Islam.”

No matter how much they talk about the fact that Muslims are peaceful people, to themtreated with caution in today's world.

So, let's take a look at what traditional Islam is. This is the faith that is in line with the teachings of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Muslims bow before the Prophet Muhammad.

Traditional Islam stands on three pillars:

  • virtue - ihsan;
  • faith - Iman;
  • deeds are Islam.

Next, we will analyze this in more detail. What does ihsan mean? This is the moral code for a Muslim. A set of rules for a life of conscience. They concern relationships with people, the believer's behavior towards himself, and his relationship with God.

Under the iman believers understand the acceptance of God, his books, his angels, messengers, prophets. Muslims also believe in the Day of Judgment and believe that everything good or bad is predetermined by heaven, and that everything is the will of Allah.

Acts (Islam) are prayers five times a day, obligatory fasting in the spring month of Ramadan. Those who are able to do so pay purifying alms and make a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage.

Who is Muhammad?

He is a simple man who led a pious life. He lived in the city of Mecca, which is located on the Arabian Peninsula.

The boy was an orphan. His parents Abdallah and Amina died when he was very young. The grandfather - Abd al Muttalib was engaged in education. When the child grew up, other men of the family took up his upbringing. Most of all, and uncle - Abu Taleb.

Muhammad believed in his own way that God is one. The guy was honest, very fair,resolute, always came to the aid of people.

When a man turned 40, an angel of God appeared to him with providence. He said that Muhammad would now be a messenger to the people from God. The man took this news with surprise and was very worried that he was not worthy of such an honor.

The Essence of Muhammad's Mission

The first thing Muhammad told people was that God is one and now he is God's messenger. Among the Arabs in those days, a decline in morals flourished. Those who were stronger offended orphans, old people, cripples. There was a slave trade, people betrayed and deceived each other. One after another there were wars between the tribes. The fair sex had almost no rights.

Muhammad, addressing the people, began to talk about the beginning of a new era. He told the people about the word of Allah, and it was called the Koran. In Arabic it sounds like "al-Qur'an". There are 114 chapters in the Quran. In Arabic - suras. The chapters are written in verse form. Poems are called "verses". Verses and chapters often have their own names, for example, the largest chapter of the Holy Scriptures is called Surah Al-Baqara (The Cow).

Muslim law and Sharia are based on Holy Tradition and Muslim scripture.

Competent theologians are called Imams among Muslims. The Muslim community has the name "Ummah".

The Islamic religion is more than one and a half thousand years old, during this time many impostors have appeared. They use an ideology that is fundamentally at odds with the Muslim trend. The most widespread false doctrine is Wahhabism.

Bwhat is the difference between Wahhabism and traditional Islam

Wahhabis believe that the dead prophet Muhammad is no longer of any use. In addition, they do not recognize holidays that are honored by those who profess traditional Islam. For example, they do not celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, they do not accept turning to Allah through holy people and prophets, as has been customary in Islam since time immemorial.

Wahhabis instead of honoring the eternal Muslim truths took pieces from other religions, mixed them and seasoned them with anger. Believers in traditional Islam and Muslim scholars are considered "infidels" among the Wahhabis.

This current has gradually formed its own list of saints:

  • ibn Taymiyyah;
  • ibn al-Qayyim;
  • ibn Abdul-Wahhab.

Followers of Wahhabism brought much grief to traditional Islam. They demolished Muslim shrines:

  • tombs of saints;
  • tombstones;
  • mausoleums.

They explain their behavior by the fact that in this way they fight against "idolatry".

What is Wahhabism based on?

The teachings of ibn Abdul-Wahhab, the founder of Wahhabism, are built on cruelty. Its adherents consider infidels all who do not accept their teachings as their own, and urge them to destroy such people.

For several centuries there has been a false teaching - "Wahhabism". During this time, it has spread to the continents:

  • Europe;
  • North and South America;
  • Australia.

Under the rule of the Wahhabis since the 20s of the twentieth century arethe holy lands of Islam are the cities of Mecca and Medina. Most Wahhabis are sponsored by Saudi Arabia. Most of the translations of the Quran into more than 40 languages are done here, distorting the meaning. The purpose of such actions is to create a pro-Saudi lobby on the planet.

How does Wahhabism captivate young and unstable souls?

Young people and not only around the world are inclined to accept Islam for many reasons that bribe immature minds or marginal personalities. This is a kind of "indulgence" for committing crimes against "infidels". Wahhabi ideologists spread the idea that "God has already forgiven the soldiers."
