The Church of Our Lady of the Quick Hearing (“October Field”), located on Khodynka Field in Moscow, is one of the most important monuments of Russian religious culture, spiritual heritage, and building art.

In the monastery itself, divine services are held regularly, believers meet, the spiritual life of the capital is in full swing. Various interesting events are often held on the territory near the temple, bringing together both children and adults, contributing to the improvement of the level of culture and morality of Moscow residents.

Locally, the church is located near the metro stations: Oktyabrskoye Pole, Sokol and Panfilovskaya.

History

Churchhas a very interesting history of appearance a little over a hundred years ago. The first monastery was built - the Temple of the Quick Hearing in Moscow in the late 90s of the XIX century in the area of the Great All Saints Grove - on the Khotynka River. The construction was carried out at the expense of the merchant Gorodnichev T. P.

Initially, a summer military hospital was located here. And the church was erected under him - in honor of St. Panteleimon.

The first building of the monastery was a small wooden frame. An iconostasis was made inside - in 1 tier, as well as an altar. The capacity of the temple at that time was only 20 people, which was not enough with an army of 300 soldiers.

And therefore, in 1901-1902, a large stone church was erected. It was erected under the care of State Councilor Kolesnikov I. A.

During the revolution of 1917, the monastery ceased to act as a religious one and became just a warehouse. It was at this time that the wooden temple was demolished, the bell tower of the stone church was dismantled.

After a long lack of repair, complete desolation, the subsequent use of the building as a storehouse for semi-precious stones, in 1992 the church was again handed over to believers.

It was from this time that services were resumed in the monastery, the bell tower was restored, the buildings of the refectory and Sunday school were added, and a fence was being built around the perimeter of the yard.

In 2001 Patriarch Alexy II visited the Temple of the Quick Hearer (“October Field”).

Services

Services are regularly held in the monastery - services duringduring which prayers, biblical texts are sung or read. Also at this time (especially during festive services and liturgies) religious rites are performed.

All this allows believers (who live in this area of the city, as well as from all over the capital and other cities) to commune with the Divine, develop faith and love for the Lord and people. The sacrament of the sacrament is especially important.

The main task of divine services and obediences in the Church of the Skoroshlushnitsy on the Oktyabrsky Field (schedule below) is the wise teaching of Christian believers in the commandments of Christ, communion with prayer and repentance, meekness and humility. An important aspect of faith in God is also love and gratitude.

Services in the monastery are: daily, weekly, annual, festive. Especially important are Easter, Christmas, Assumption of the Queen of Heaven, on the Trinity, in honor of the Icons of the Holy Great Martyrs and others.

The rector of the church, Archpriest Alexy Chuley, leads them to this monastery.

Icon of the Quick Listener

Especially the place in the temple is occupied by the Icon of the Quick Hearer. This is the Face of the Queen of Heaven, which is considered miraculous. The original was written on the holy Mount Athos in Greece (currently located in the monastery of Dohiar).

Thanks to this icon, blind people begin to see, those who could not walk with their feet, begin to move, and so on. Lik also saved many from captivity and shipwrecks.

The holy lists of the Quick Hearing Icon first came to Russia in the 19th century from Mount Athos itself. Moscow was immediatelyplaced in the chapel of St. Panteleimon, which is near the Vladimir Gates (Kitai-Gorod).

Initially, this face was loved and revered by believers. People have seen real miracles of healing.

And therefore, at first, a wooden was built, and at the beginning of the 20th century already a stone church of the Skoroshlushnitsa ("October Field"), which is on Khodynka Field - in Moscow.

The icon is celebrated annually on November 9th. But even during the year, prayers are read before the face and sacred songs are sung.

Schedule

In addition to solemn religious services, daily services are also held in the monastery.

The schedule at the Church of the Hearing One (October Field) is as follows:

• Monday to Friday - Matins at 8.00 (including Liturgy and Confession);
• from Saturday to Sunday - all-night vigil;
• on Sunday - liturgy at 7.00 and 9.00, in the evening - akathist to Panteleimon;
• holidays - all-night vigil and liturgy at 7.00 and 9.00.

In the temple such sacred actions as baptism, wedding, prayers, unction, funeral service are carried out. Statutory services are taking place.
