People quite often do not understand what the difference is in terms of "sex" and "gender" differences between a man and a woman. Although theoretically it is quite simple: there are features that are inherent only in one or only another group, and there are those that can belong to both. It is the latter that are related to the genus or gender. It can be said that only physiological or biological differences have a stable binding to the sex group. Only they are always and only masculine or feminine.

To better understand this issue, remember that human beings have many different traits that separate them. This is not only gender, but also race, nationality and other similar things. They make us individual and special, but in many circumstances they can get in the way. Gender differences are one such personalitycharacteristics that depend not only on nature, but also on culture, upbringing, even the economic situation. They greatly influence our lives, changing it both for good and for bad, and can even cause violation of our rights.

Gender differences are due to socially acquired behavior and represent society's expectations of a person who belongs to one sex or another. But the very process of forming a man or woman is cultural. Just like race or class, this category comes from a huge variety of social life and affects relationships with other people. Gender describes precisely the biological belonging to a group of human beings with certain physiological characteristics.

Gender difference is a term coined by sociologists who have sought to focus on the fact that it is a cultural phenomenon. For example, gender characteristics include the fact that women give birth to children, but men do not, that mothers can breastfeed children, and fathers need a bottle of milk for this process, that during puberty, boys' voice breaks, and girls - no. These statements do not surprise anyone, and, as a rule, everyone agrees with them. But if we turn to social roles, then immediately everything changes.

Many people think that little girls should be quiet and reserved, while boys should be stubborn and brave. But these are no longer sexual, but gender differences. As well as the fact that in the Middle Ages men had the right to inherit, andwomen - no, that husbands make decisions, and wives take care of raising children. These differences are not permanent. They can change over time, depending on the country, accepted traditions and way of life. But they are the reason why in many countries the salary of women is 70% of men's, and among the latter there are many more parliamentarians, presidents, managers.

Gender differences are often due to stereotypes that exist in a given society, that is, generalizations due to which the features and characteristics inherent in a part of a given group (and not necessarily a larger one) apply to its entirety. For example, men are often portrayed as aggressive, bold, and wanting to dominate. Women, on the other hand, are described as tolerant, weak, passive and emotional. In such stereotypes lies the justification for the imbalance of power that exists in human society between the sexes. Such generalizations deprive people of their dignity and help to discriminate against them.
