Manipulating a person is a powerful tool to influence both any individual and society as a whole, allowing you to control people and form public opinion, to impose any stereotypes, opinions and patterns. It is carried out with the help of the most mass method - the mass media. The information field created by them simply does not allow people to break out, because it cannot be neutral by definition, invariably conveying the mood and opinion of the author.

Manipulation of a person is carried out using several principles that are widely known and used everywhere.

First of all, you need to know more about the audience than it knows about itself. Science provides the most extensive material for this: over the past decades, psychology, biology, neurobiology have accumulated such extensive information about human nature that it is not the slightest problem to manipulate human consciousness. It is only necessary to bypass the critical attitude, reason and value judgment. An example of such manipulation is the use of sex and sexuality even in advertising, drawing the attention of buyers to the product.

The authorities of any country more often use another technique that helps to manipulate public opinion: they saturate the information field of the country with insignificant events and news, distracting people from what is really important. As a result, for example, society breaks spears over a trifling question, and the most important innovation for people's lives is carried out imperceptibly and adopted in the form of a law without causing opposition. News releases are built on the same principle: many stories about wars and misfortunes in other countries, and only a running line - news about important changes in legislation.

Manipulation of a person is also carried out by creating problems, and then throwing up ways to solve them. For example, you can create a situation to which the population will react extremely negatively and require urgent action from the government. And that's exactly what it was designed for. As a result, laws are adopted that the authorities need: security measures are being strengthened that actually infringe on the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Another popular method is the gradual application and dosing of information so as not to cause panic. As a result, people do not suspect the true extent of tragedies and misfortunes, and there are no revolutions.

Manipulation of a person is also carried out with the help of a delay in execution: thenthere is a promise to carry out unpopular measures not now, but in the indefinite future. And people really go for it.

The same is achieved by referring to people as children: such infantilism in speech turns reduces the critical mood and inspires confidence in what was said.

No less important is the emphasis on emotions. At the same time, it is important to avoid in every possible way that a person comes to his senses and thinks, gives reasons and arguments. The ignorance of society also plays into the hands of the manipulators: it is for this that education systems are destroyed, society becomes stupid, thinking people are destroyed or expelled.

All these and other methods of manipulation are used to some extent in any country and any society, and it is possible to defend against them only by using a critical approach, caution, an inquisitive mind. And, of course, checking information before trusting it.
