Construction began in 2001. All work was carried out at the expense of sponsorship contributions from all comers. The temple was built 5 years. In 2006, the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary) was consecrated and opened its doors to parishioners, a photo of which can be seen below.
The temple has 12 domes. They rise above the buildings of the North-Western district of the city. The facade is painted blue and symbolizes the purity of thoughts and proximity to heaven. The entrance is decorated with colonnades in the shape of the letter "c". This architectural move implies an invitation to everyone to enter the cathedral.
The complex consists of several buildings:
- church-baptismal;
- chapels;
- administration;
- Sunday school;
- libraries.
Buildings occupy more than 1000m2 territory. It is fenced and kept in perfect order. More than 50 people work and serve here.

The Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral has many valuable spiritual icons and things. The icon of the holy martyr Tatiana with a small piece of relics is a symbol of the temple. Also in the cathedral there are several more ancient icons and shrines.
Before all these relics, any visitor to the temple can bow. They usually pray and ask for the he alth of the whole family. For several years, more than one human soul has found humility here.

At the temple, a volunteer detachment of local students is actively working to help socially vulnerable people and children left without parental care. Students conduct all sorts of cognitive and developmental activities with the guys in the Rehabilitation Center.
The guys also help in the daily work of the temple. On Saturdays, gospel lessons are held on the grounds of the cathedral. A youth club started working on the basis of the temple"Omophor". Many students and high school students come here.
Children from the community meet different priests and attend spiritual conferences. In their free time, they watch films on Orthodoxy and organize educational events and competitions that literally enliven the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral.
