He served as a school teacher, then became a director. In the 80s he moved to Vyatka and worked as a psalmist, was trained as a bell ringer, Georgy Bakharevsky became his teacher. He began to write and publish his own poems. And once in the Parisian magazine for emigrants "Continent" these verses were published. Logvinov himself heard about it at the time of the call to the KGB. Then he got off with a warning.

Logvinov Andrey Nikolaevich (Fr. Andrey) graduated from the Moscow Theological Seminary, studied by correspondence. Among the first edited the journal "Vyatka Diocesan Bulletin". At the moment he serves as rector of the Cathedral of St. John of Kronstadt. He started a family: he has a wife and three children.

Creative path

Many poems of the archpriest were writtenmusic. The songs of Archpriest Andrei Logvinov are recognized by the whole country. And with his work "Royal Calvary", set to musical accompaniment, the famous A. Nevsky song contest in the northern capital was won. The resulting composition was also performed by the priest. The most popular are the royal verses of Fr. Andrey Logvinov. The collection "Behold your King …", which was recorded with the help of the St. Petersburg choir of the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, is distributed among Christian believers. Countless times the ensemble prepared performances for Yekaterinburg festivals, and was honored to participate in the services of the Church-on-the-Blood, built instead of the house where the martyrs were shot.

About the royal family

There is a second disc, which includes chants about the reigning slain. The authorship of poems from there belongs to domestic writers A. Khomyakov, S. Bekhteev, A. Logvinov. Musical accompaniment in most cases was created by the head of the ensemble I. Boldysheva. Archpriest Andrey Logvinov received membership in the Union of Writers of Russia and the Union of Journalists of Russia, participated in numerous competitions and won many awards with his author's works.

Features of creativity

In previous eras, Orthodox ministers did not create poetry. At least it wasn't common. In modern realities, poems from priests have become commonplace. They express feelings for God not only in everyday life and ordinary speech, but also in sublime tones of refined works.

As often happens, for a thousand writers, only a few become interesting. There are not so many of these exceptional authors throughout Russia. He is one of them and travels to different regions of the Russian Federation, giving interviews. Archpriest Andrey Logvinov has an unusual style, his quotes, aphorisms scatter to all regions of the country. Basically, they are full of bright epithets, old Russian words, they are easy to read, like fairy tales.

On Molochnaya on the mountain and in the city of Kostroma - there is a holy chapel in a patterned fringe.

As it soars through the air, it burns with a scarlet flame, that an Easter egg or an archimandrite in a skete!

This is a poem by Archpriest Logvinov.

Non-trivial, curly, like a sophisticated watercolor. He himself works in the Kostroma Cathedral, but claims that Petersburg owes its appearance to the small town of Kostroma. After all, the birth and formation of the northern capital is closely intertwined with the royal house of the Romanovs. And they originate in the village of Domnino, near Kostroma. Their roots, the roots of Peter I, are Kostroma. The icon with the help of which Mikhail Fedorovich was blessed for the kingdom, one of the greatest relics of the family, is kept in the cradle city of the Romanovs. This is the Fedorov Icon of the Mother of God. A church was erected near St. Petersburg in honor of this relic. Father Andrey Logvinov devoted many lines to this issue. By Fedorovskaya, he is drawn, by his own admission, away from worldly fuss. Next to her, he likes to retire and respects her for centuries of history andimportant role in the Russian Empire, kindled to her soul.

Whose will you be?

Also, Archpriest Andrei Logvinov admits that he has always been considered a Muscovite. However, over the course of his life, being in different places, he changed his mind. In St. Petersburg, he met many believers, recognizing in them reverent, sincere Christians. So his love spread to the northern capital. Many stanzas are dedicated to them to the cold city. "How can you forget these royal squares?" - This line vividly expresses his attitude towards the former capital. All works are imbued with the spirit of love and a sense of loss of the autocrats, and in the northern city, he first of all turns his gaze to the shrines preserved in their memory, for example, to the Savior on Spilled Blood, built on the site of the murder of Alexander II.

Also about St. Petersburg and the bloody events of those years, the priest wrote: “The Imperial death. Next - Savior-on-Blood bail: where the Golgotha of the holy son, there is the Pascha of the holy grandson.”

Mission

He called himself the Kostroma envoy of the northern capital. He was a minister of the Cathedral of Father John of Kronstadt, who was the most famous saint from St. Petersburg. He began to serve there as an ordinary parish priest, at first he had only five parishioners, for whom, by his own admission, he was imbued with feelings, which turned out to be mutual.

Philosophy of Father Andrey

So much is given! So easy is spending: love God, love your brother, feed the bird, have pity on the cat, give the sick a cup, and others a spoon. So the Almighty created: we are people, not when we breathe, but for now -love…

He preaches to live where Jesus put people.

Giving an interview to the Soyuz TV channel about his thoughts after traveling to the historical sites of the Russian New Martyrs, about the attitude towards the murdered and about the creative path of the Christian poet and priest, Logvinov told the following: “Blessed is he who is in the backwater of the saint! - Wait, - is the reward higher, since you hid from hell behind a stone wall? And isn't it more blessed - who lived and survived here, on the battlefields? - he laid down his soul for a friend and ferried hell into prayers.”

The start of the journey

For a long time, when he was a schoolboy, he devoted time to reading and discussing literature, first of all, 9-grader Andrey became interested in the classics. This became the prerequisite for the boy's further poetic path. The second round was experimentation with verbal forms in my student years. With the development of his personality, he switched to searching for God around and in his soul, and the poems gradually took on the form that exists today. It turns out that Archpriest Andrey Logvinov writes his poems from a young age.

As Andrey's personality developed, so did his work. The peaks of inspiration for the creative personality of a priest usually fall on the period of Great Lent. Being very tired while serving the people, Archpriest Andrey Logvinov notices how new images pass through him, interesting lines are born. It is during these periods that the greatest number of poems are written. Although the mind is carried away by the life of the church at this time, as never before. Perhaps that is why all the poems of Archpriest Andrei Logvinovimbued with special humility.

Government persecution

Andrey's heart was reborn when he approached the knowledge of God's world. Reading, he opened up new facets of reality, more interesting than the usual living of worldly needs. When he was 22 years old, he was baptized and firmly decided that he would be a priest. All this happened in the Soviet era, which left an imprint on the events that happened with the priest. There were cases of threats to apply a variety of sanctions against the priest.

When Gorbachev ruled the country, Bakatin was the first secretary of the city where Andrei lived, in fact, he was the Minister of Internal Affairs. He seemed to maintain communication with the population, the process proceeded quite peacefully. City hearings were organized, during which citizens discussed various issues, one of which was attended by the future poet. With his characteristic inclination to cut the truth, young Andrey spoke out for all to hear that obstacles had been placed at the Velikoretsk Cross Procession to hold the event. In those days, participants were really ridiculed, dogs were set on them, they were detained and sent to police stations, and the territory was cordoned off. The performance of the young man was bold. In addition, he said that he did not trust such authorities, did not believe in the restructuring that was taking place in the city. It is no wonder that after that the prosecutor's office called him. Through the prayers and intercession of Vladyka Chrysanth, Andrei managed to avoid an unenviable fate after these meetings.

The next interesting fact is that Logvinov was expelled from the university. The student openly claimed that he was sympathetic to Boris Pasternak, who was widely subjected to harassment at that time in the Soviet era. He spoke out for Solzhenitsyn, who was sent abroad. At the same time, he was a spiritual seeker of Christian views, not afraid to express his views in a rebellious, student way. Of course, this was actively reported to the top, and this was followed by challenges and warnings to the future priest. Cases were opened against him about the propaganda activities of a student of a pedagogical institute.

Link History

The mother of the expelled, a tired but wise woman - the head of the department of scientific communism, who worked at another university - in order to save her beloved stubborn, her family and herself (after all, she raised a traitor, for which punishment would certainly follow, up to the requirements hand over my party card), packed up her things with lightning speed and bravely set off for a huge alien Moscow to mingle with a diverse motley crowd. From now on, she worked as the most ordinary teacher. The son, to her comfort, went to work at the factory, merging with the slender ranks of local youth. However, he was soon forced to go into exile, which he was strictly "recommended". The link was to Siberia. While in it, the archpriest taught the children himself. So Archpriest Andrey Logvinov lived in Siberia, his biography is inextricably linked with these places.

Archpriest's family

Andrey's children also inherited such character traits. So, his son Alexei became the leader of the original group "Komba Bakh". The texts of the group are saturated with the Orthodoxspirituality. The priest taught his children to Orthodoxy from an early age, traveling with them through the sacred territories, directing his prayers to God with the whole family. The nurtured faith stayed with the children for life.

Live in love

"Orthodoxy is alive, the Lord is love, we must live and rejoice in Christ" - Andrey Logvinov.

An interesting fact was that Logvinov was born on May 19, this is the same day when the martyr Nicholas II was born. Andrei became a sincere admirer of the emperor, glorifying him in his work. He repeatedly confessed his sincere love for the Sovereign. According to his confessions, he would like to honor him, and this touches him to tears, and the fact that they were born on the same day is not so important here. The reason is that these reigning new martyrs were bearers of pure love both for the Fatherland and for each other. He considers the murder of a family to be such a sinister crime that to this day his blood turns cold and boils, does not allow him to remain indifferent. Even after a hundred years, it does not allow to come to terms with what happened. Andrei visited places in Yekaterinburg that were directly related to the tragic events of those years that happened to the royal family. He also visited the monastery at Ganina Yama.

All profits from the activities of speakers and heartfelt concerts go to shelters that need help from low-income families, orphanages are also supported, chapels are built in honor of the royal family. So, one of them is being built at the moment in the Ipatievskaya Sloboda by the artist Oleg Molchanov, whose paintings are especially close to the archpriest himself. Images of Russian nature can even bring tears to Father Andrei.
