The small wooden temple of Seraphim of Sarov in Ivanovo is a real cult landmark of the city. This Orthodox shrine is especially revered by local residents and is one of the favorite places visited by tourists of various faiths.
Description of the temple
The wooden one- altar church in the name of Seraphim of Sarov was founded in 2003. The consecration of the temple and the first liturgy were held in the summer of 2003. And in 2009, on the territory of the parish at the main entrance, a monumental bronze sculpture was erected to the God-pleaser Seraphim revered here.
The church was built on the site of an abandoned wasteland and is surrounded by typical residential buildings. The construction was led by the city architect Vlasov. Despite its small area, the temple surprises visitors with its prayerful comfort and splendor.
A complex of wooden architectural buildings has been built on the territory adjacent to the church, which housed a Sunday school, a lecture hall, a refectory, an advisory center and a church shop.
