The Russian Orthodox Church equates Anubis with pagan demons. What believing person would want to keep such a souvenir in his house? But the Slavs also had their own pagan gods, which could lead to even greater horror than the Egyptian ruler of the underworld. At one time they were also worshiped and revered with no less fanaticism. Why do we praise our gods and at the same time fear strangers?
