This is especially pronounced in cases where the dreamer rides an elephant. The same applies to the herd of elephants seen in a dream - this is an extremely auspicious sign.

But a lone elephant grazing nearby is a less fortunate sign. It only means the rapid growth of the dreamer's reputation in the eyes of the society around him. So to speak, a banal rating increase.

David Loff - one of the prominent psychologists of his time - believes that the symbolism of sleep is purely individual, and its meanings quite often differ if we take several individual people. However, he still gives some general meanings of the images that appear in a dream.

The elephant, in his opinion, is a symbol of memory, given the opinion of those people who have lived next to this animal all their lives. Therefore, one of the possible meanings of sleep is a subconscious sign of a memory, of something forgotten, but important at a given moment in time.
