As you know, adherence to principles is a set of human qualities, following a set of rules and beliefs formed in the process of life and the accumulation of experience. Based on this, an unprincipled person is a person who neglects the norms, rules, and beliefs established in society. And most importantly - not having her own convictions.

Unscrupulousness is being principled "on the contrary". This trait, depending on how you apply it, can be both positive and negative. A person with this quality is distinguished by tyrannical manners, a tendency to disregard other people's opinions. One can only guess what "unprincipled person" means in real life with his unpredictability, as well as charm, spontaneity and paradox.
From the positive in unscrupulousness, which is contempt for other people's views, beliefs, the desire to live for one's own sake, one can call ease of communication. Flexibility is also considered a positive quality: a person feels confident in unforeseen circumstances, knows how to find optimal solutions and approach to people around him. He may be criticized for his lack of directness, but for success it is not necessary for everyone to tell the truth, provoking appropriate reactions. It is more important to consider the characteristics of the people with whom you have to talk, and make wise decisions that would suit everyone. And the direct route is not always the shortest and best.
Flexibility, fluidity of perception - this is a necessary condition for some professions. This is a talent that can be used both for good and for harm. A flexible person is not always unprincipled. On the contrary, he is positive, intelligent, educated. Communication with him is pleasant, he is conflict-free in the family and at work, defends his opinion so that others are not offended, he will never allow quarrels and scandals.
But being flexible is not very easy: you need to calculate the reaction of people, have a quick mind. Therefore, most prefer to be straightforward.
Negative displays of integrity
Negative properties of integrity:
- a person becomes a slave to his principles, not taking into account the development of the situation that has formed;
- dishonorable behavior is acceptable for such a person, which can bring a lot of trouble to loved ones;
- obsession and intolerance towards others is manifested, because a person's ideas about the norm are closely related to his principles;
- restrictions arise that self-serving people can take advantage of;
- principledness coexists with unwillingness to think;
- uncompromising is possible, so dealing with such people can be difficult.
Given the listed pros and cons of integrity, having this quality or completely abandoning it, you should think about the consequences of your behavior. Optimal would be a combination of principles with the ability to reject them, the ability to compromise. Principles are commendable, but feelings are just as important. Conformism
You can endlessly consider how a spineless person behaves, a nihilist, a conformist, and also one who does not value himself, does not respect personal experience and his truth. An unscrupulous religious figure will sacrifice the commandments but not his income, a politician will change parties if his position ceases to benefit him, and so on.
There is an example when volunteers were invited to the experiment in order to study such personality traits as conformism. A simple test was ahead: to distinguish alcohol from water, marking the right one in the survey form. The only catch was that some of the answers were already supposedly put down by previous participants in the experiment (but in fact they were prepared by the researchers).
And so, the participant clearly feels the aroma of alcohol, but seeing a large number of pluses opposite the meaning of "water" as an answer to the question, suddenly finds himself unable to indicate the correct option. After all, the main motto of unscrupulousness is "do not be fooled." At this moment, he either doubts his own adequacy, or is afraid to stand out from the background of the bulk of people, fearing responsibility for making an independent decision. In this example, you can clearly see how an unprincipled person behaves: he is essentially a conformist, following the crowd, convenience, safety, or whatever is closer to him at the moment.
It is known that conformism looks like an adaptation to the situation, taking into accountopinions and behavior of other people, their numbers, authority. Sometimes they try to be "like everyone else", do not stand out from the crowd. Sometimes they are guided by the opinion of only one person, but only the leader. And this is also a form of flexibility at its worst. Moreover, a conformist is a kind of unprincipled person, since he does not act according to his own principles, but with an orientation towards other people.
Can we also remember the famous proverb: "shave-shave or haircut-briar?" Obviously, such a question imposes and limits the answer to only two possible ones, since the correct pair is "haircut-shaving". The conclusion suggests itself that an unprincipled person is also one whose thinking can be deprived not only of independence, but also of development.
