The Gayatri Mantra is considered the quintessence of all the wisdom of the Vedas. Everything that was embedded in these sacred texts for centuries was embodied in a few words that were previously read only by priests, meeting each new dawn. Now these words have become available to everyone. Anyone can use the wisdom of India to bring their desires to life, or at least to purify from evil forces.
What is the Gayatri mantra?
Mantra is a sequential set of words, a small text that is usually chanted for a specific purpose. The Vedas contain various verses that are recommended for use in specific life situations. Only the Gayatri Mantra is found in all the Vedas, of which there are known to be four.
The very word "Gayatri" has several meanings. This is the name of the goddess, and the size of the verse, and the name of the mantra. The Supreme Being of the same name blesses and protects everyone who regularly uses this verse, who glorifies spirituality and strength (as the yogis say).
What is the meaning of the Gayatri mantra
There are many translations of this verse. Since the words, components are polysemantic, their combination gives rise to various images. For example, you can put the following meaning into this verse: "God is like the sun! We praise and look at him! The light of his face illuminates us, falling on us! The sun shines radiantly. We contemplate it. Let it guide us along the path of truth! We merge with the light Sun, we acquire the truth and meaning of God! Oh, Source of Divine Light! Give me one of your countless rays so that I can for a moment ignite as brightly as you!"
Each person intuitively puts into his understanding what his soul radiates. Turning to the Higher Forces for advice and support is what the Gayatri Mantra is. The text is spoken in an unfamiliar language. But it is quickly absorbed into the subconscious, creating music there, consonant with the understanding of sunlight and joy!
For whom the Gayatri mantra was created
Earlier it was believed that all such texts were created only for the initiates. Only priests could recite this mantra. A different understanding is now being invested in both reading and using the Vedas, of which the Gayatri Mantra is an integral part. Sai Baba, a well-known Indian Saint, practically brought about a cultural revolution in the country's religious society. He stated that everything that is the legacy of the ancient sages was created absolutely for all people. Caste, gender, skin color, or faith of a person do not matter. Anyone can use the Vedas for their own benefit and the happiness of other people.
How to read the mantra correctly
Sai Baba recommended to clearly pronounce eachword. So that you yourself understand what you are saying. But besides this, when reading a verse, you need to visualize your understanding of the Divine light for everyone. The Gayatri Mantra - is not a talisman for personal use. This is an appeal to the Higher Forces with a request to give enlightenment to all mankind! It has no egoistic meaning. Sincere faith allows you to structure the entire space in such a way that the Divine Light touches everyone who communicates with the one who reads the mantra!
