In psychology, the resource state is understood as the presence of physical and mental strength to work on the tasks that a person faces. When a person has enough strength, he is able to work successfully, communicate with people. And neither one nor the other causes him stress. The main components of the resource state are the physical and psychological components.

Recently, this concept has become very fashionable. Many people talk about resources, and many people aspire to enter into such a state. After all, it is it that allows you to achieve what you want, to make life more pleasant, comfortable, joyful.

However, it is necessary to understand that not in all cases a person has the opportunity to enter a resource state. Let's look at this with a specific example. The female manager complains that she lacks strength. She goes to work every day and does her household chores. But everything keeps getting out of hand. She has practically no desire to do the same thing every day, and receive practically no return - neither career growth nor salary increase shines for her.

The main task of the heroine was to obtain internal resources, or vitality, which would help her more successfully fulfill her work duties and reach career heights. At first glance, this seems like a worthy goal. However, in reality, it is almost impossible to implement it. Even if this woman learns how to enter a resourceful state, she probably won't have the energy to actually get promoted.

Resource state in psychology has been studied for a long time. The researchers found that it is possible to enter it only by knowing the principles of the human brain. And his main goal is to survive. The brain of this woman does not care at all whether she drives a domestic car or a foreign car to work. He also doesn't care if today's report is written or not. The circumstances are further complicated by the fact that the person himself, at the level of consciousness, does not understand at all why he needs certain actions and what he is trying to achieve with his behavior.

Technique "7 wishes"

This technique allows you to quickly enter the resource state. It allows you to sort out your desires, put things in order in your thoughts. Performed as follows:

  • You need to prepare 7 A4 sheets, paints and brushes in advance.
  • One dream is written on each of the sheets. Desires must be formulated in the first person, as well as in the present tense. For example: “I swim on the most beautiful beach”, “I am getting married to Petya Maslova”, “Every month I earn 3000 dollars.”
  • Then you need to choose the colors that seem most suitable for the voiced dream. The sheet is turned over with desire, and absolutely any pattern is applied to it. The background and abstract shapes can be anything. The main point is that the combination of shades matchesinner vision of desire, which is written on the back.
  • Psychologists recommend that when performing the technique, beware of ambiguous formulations. For example, the desire to gain financial independence may involve divorce. And you can “meet a beautiful girl” who … just walks by on the way to work.
  • When the exercise is completed, the drawings can be hung in a conspicuous place. If this is not possible, they should be photographed. Carry these images in the phone until the wishes come true.

Most often, when a person cannot solve a problem, such a situation is just an external frame, a set of certain beliefs that he has.

In order to replenish the missing energy in time, there is a special technique invented by neurolinguistic programming psychologists. The algorithm for its implementation is as follows:

  • First, a person needs to determine what kind of resources he lacks in a certain situation. For example, it can be calmness, self-confidence, interest, purposefulness.
  • Then, in the imagination, a circle is drawn on the floor, the diameter of which is about a meter.
  • Mentally, the desired resource is placed in this circle in the image that arises in a person. For example, a lack of self-confidence might be represented as a lion with a fiery mane.
  • Then in the imagination you need to enter this circle, merge withway together.
  • After that, the state needs to be "anchored". Anchor in NLP is a term that simply means a conditioned reflex. By linking the current resource state with a certain movement, you can call it in the future. Therefore, when you feel filled with confidence, you can pat your thighs, or, for example, clench your left hand into a fist.
  • Then in your imagination you need to get out of this circle.
  • You should mentally play situations in the future, where the desired state will be called with the help of an anchor.

Another NLP practice

This exercise allows you to turn even negative experiences into resource ones. It transforms anxiety into calmness, fear into confidence. Performed as follows.

  • A current problem is being formulated. For example, “I am worried about how colleague N. has begun to treat me.”
  • Then it must be associated with a certain visual, symbolic image. For example, it can be an image of a gray ball, a thorn, a swamp.
  • At this stage, you need to remember some situation that was filled with positive emotions. It can be any circumstances associated with happiness, success: a brilliant exam, a profitable contract, a trip, a wedding. With closed eyes, it should be experienced again, again and again experiencing pleasant feelings.
  • Imagine a mental “amplifier” somewhere near you (similar to a sound amplifier). He will play the role of an enhancer of experiences. Feel how pleasant feelings have become even morebigger and more expressive with this device.

  • Turn your attention to the objects of external reality. Save the received resource by including it in the actual activity.
