The creation of the temple in Letovo has a deep history and is directly connected with the village itself. It is not known for certain when the village was erected, but as historical records say, it was previously called Glukhovo and belonged to the famous boyar husband Vasily Vasilyevich Buturlin. Back in 1654, this aristocrat took the oath to the Russian Tsar Alexei.
