In modern society, psychology is becoming more and more stable and popular. Determination of the life path, placement and selection of personnel at the enterprise are often associated with the determination of a person's inclinations, including organizational and communicative ones. To determine how well the respondent has developed such abilities, the CBS technique, or diagnostic method, helps specialists.

Projective method - questionnaire

The area in which this psychodiagnostic technique is successfully used is career guidance, or determining the respondent's inclination to any area of professional activity. CBS is a technique belonging to the category of projective methods, the peculiarity of which is that the subject projects his own experience onto the situations offered by the researcher. That is why the technique is recommended for the diagnostic study of persons who have reached senior school age and older, since respondents must have certain life experience and a model of behavior in certain life situations.

Principlediagnostic method operation

KOS-1 methodology was developed on the principle of variety of life situations offered to the respondent. This will help the subject to try on various simulated situations from life and determine their own real model of behavior in them. Experts consider the level of validity, or reliability, of the data obtained to be quite high, which makes it possible to obtain stable indicators of communicative and organizational skills. In addition, the methodology was developed taking into account the sufficient breadth of the range of proposed questions, taking into account the different attitudes of the respondents to what is said in the questions of the methodology. This method is considered quite valuable also because it allows you to separately track the level of development of a person’s sociability, in parallel - the level of ability to organize a team. In some cases, respondents show a fairly developed communicative level with a low level of organizational skills. There are also respondents whose diagnostic results are directly opposite. All these possibilities are taken into account to a sufficient extent in the CBS. The method "Communicative and organizational inclinations" is considered one of the basic ones in the career guidance block, and therefore it is one of the first to be carried out.

Career guidance opportunities of the CBS method

The professional sphere of human activity is divided into industries according to several criteria. One of them is a sign of active interaction of a specialist with people, the level of ability to organize a team. Lead contentThe activity of specialists in this field is the management of a team of people, diverse in quantitative and qualitative composition, teaching, education, educational and social services for people. The professions that require a certain level of formation of such qualities include the speci alties of a teacher, doctor, heads of divisions, departments. The success of the production activities of representatives of such professions is ensured by a sufficient level of communication skills and organizational inclinations, the ability to contact people, organize constructively their interaction in order to achieve the set production tasks. The KOS-2 methodology will allow a person to understand whether he has the abilities necessary to build a successful career in a certain field of activity related to the professional field “person-to-person”. After all, it is in communication and joint activities with people that the ability to communicate and organize is needed.

The principle of constructing the communicative component of the methodology

Many modern techniques allow us to identify several aspects and characteristics in the subjects at once. One of these is the COS method. The communicative and organizational skills of the respondent are monitored in parallel, which allows you to get two results at the same time: the level of communication skills and the level of ability to organize a team. The research program includes two dozen questions of the following focus:

- does a person show a desire to communicate, establishfriendly contacts;

- does loneliness prefer spending time with friends;

- quickly adapts to an unfamiliar society;

- whether he willingly responds to requests, wishes of others;

- whether it is positive for social activities, public speaking;

- is he comfortable in a circle of unfamiliar and unfamiliar people;

- Is speaking in front of a public audience easy.

The questions themselves are designed based on the actual behavior and experience of the respondent.

The principle of constructing the organizational part of the questionnaire

For its part, the program for constructing a study of organizational inclinations includes a somewhat different focus of questions. CBS is a technique that allows you to characterize the organizational abilities of a person, because the questions in this area have the following content:

- speed and ability to navigate in non-standard situations;

- resourcefulness, perseverance and exactingness;

- propensity for organizational activities;

- independence in judgments and actions, self-criticism;

- excerpt;

- attitude to social activities, sociability.

The questionnaire also includes two dozen organizational questions, which makes it quite informative for this area of research.

Wide possibilities of the popular technique

Recently it has becomequite popular use of the method not only in the career guidance area. The diagnostic method of KOS also demonstrated wide application possibilities for the correct placement of personnel and the formation of effective production subgroups. The methodology has been actively used by specialists of the personnel service and full-time psychologists of enterprises for the constructive placement of personnel in order to prevent industrial conflicts and increase labor productivity. For this purpose, the CBS method was modified for the older category of respondents, while maintaining the principle of operation and the number of questions in the questionnaire. The questions themselves carry the same semantic orientation with a slightly different textual formulation. Experts point to another method with a similar name "Kos Cubes". This technique does not have an identical focus, it helps to determine the level of formation of the respondent's spatial thinking. The modified method is called KOS-2, along with KOS-1, it has been actively disseminated and used in industrial areas and student research.

Methodology for students and employees of organizations

When forming student and production teams and groups, the diagnostic method KOS-2 is widely used. Methodology "Communicative and organizational inclinations" for the senior category of respondents differs from KOS-1 in the wording of questions with an identical focus on topics. The interpretation of the results of the study is carried out in the same way in both methods. The indicators obtained during processing are in the same numerical range. The points scored by the respondents are distributed according to five levels in the context of "very low" to "highest", which helps to objectively assess the degree of sociability and organization of a person.

Received indicators at low level

After processing the received data, the result can be from 0.2 to 1.0 for both criteria. The scores are compared with a score from 1 to 5, while the classifier will help to understand and determine the qualitative characteristics of the indicators. Respondents with a rating of "1" and, accordingly, a "low level" are characterized by an extremely unsatisfactory degree of manifestation of communicative and organizational skills. Such people are effective in individual activities, but in a team one should not rely on such employees when performing a joint group task. Subjects who have a level of "below average" and a score of "2", as a rule, have practically no initiative, are reluctant to make contacts, find it difficult to navigate in a non-standard situation, and do not have sufficient speed of thinking when making decisions. Those who have an “average” level and a score of “3” have a stable potential for communication and the ability to organize a group. Such people, as a rule, are quite sociable, tend to establish contacts, but can quickly lose interest in joint activities, solving industrial and social problems. The existing potential of such people should be purposefully developed, increasing the motivation to work in a group. To the classifierof the projective questionnaire "CBS Methodology", the author Podmazin also introduced a characterological description of the communicative and organizational inclinations of respondents with a "high" level.

Interpretation of high level indicators

"High" level in subjects who received a score of "4" indicates the ability of a person to work effectively in a team, to organize the cooperation of team members among themselves, to have sufficient initiative in making decisions. A "very high" level of respondents with a score of "5" indicates the leadership qualities of the subject, his desire and desire to establish contacts, including industrial ones. These people do an excellent job of solving production problems, willingly take the initiative in non-standard situations. At the same time, experts warn that, with sufficient validity and reliability of the results obtained, the degree of situational character of the CBS method should be taken into account. The technique shows a reliable result at the time of the study. With systematic work with a person to develop communication and organizational skills, the result can change significantly.
