In many cities of Russia you can see the following picture: young and not so young people, women and girls walk along the porches, knock on doors and ask residents questions: “Do you believe in God? Do you know when heaven will come? And if someone enters into a conversation with them, they immediately say: "We are not sectarians, we are Baptists." By this they deliberately mislead the uninformed people. So who are the Baptists? These are Protestants who broke away from the English Puritans many centuries ago. Basic Principles of Baptism:
- There is only one authority in the world for all areas of life - the Bible.
- Only adults who have voluntarily realized faith in God can be baptized. Those who are not baptized are usually expelled from the community.
- Each member of the sect is equal and sacred.
There are a few more basic Baptist commandments, but in reality everything looks completely different from what it is written. Yes, some Baptists in Russia are ready to engage in dialogue with the Orthodox Church. Some of them preach about the dangers of drug addiction and other bad habits, oppose abortion and promote seemingly correct values. It is considered to be non-hazardoussect. However, teachers and educators who come into contact with Baptist children know how negative the influence of this religious movement is. Who are the Baptists? These are people who forbid children to go to school, do not give them the opportunity to communicate with their peers.
Baptists are sectarians who fraudulently draw into their faith people with a weak character, who have experienced grief or, for some reason, are left alone. At first they provide help, understanding, they can sympathize and support. Baptists help the poor, open children's holiday camps and their own schools. However, one of their commandments says that members of the community cannot have personal belongings. But what about apartments, for example? It's simple: give them to the community. Not all Baptist groups reach the socialization of property, but there are many examples when people gave everything they had to the sect, depriving their families
housing and income. And this despite the fact that another commandment preaches freedom of religion and conscience. Who are the Baptists? People who are trying with all their might to increase the number of members of the community, because it is beneficial in material terms (and only the top). Perhaps someone will not agree with me and will give his answer to the question of who the Baptists are. They can say that Baptist Christians are ordinary people, they strive to do good and live righteously, because only the righteous will go to heaven.
Maybe. But after all, in words, any religion strives for goodness. Does the aspiration to heaven precludegood education, intellectual development? Unfortunately, most sectarians cannot boast of either. Moreover, even agitating passers-by to accept their faith, sectarians can only give memorized answers to supposed questions. Any deviation from the memorized script confuses poorly trained preachers, makes them shut up or leave. It's very similar to NLP. Who are the Baptists? In my opinion, these are people who are unable to make independent decisions, floating with the flow prescribed by the Bible. I don't want to offend anyone. I'm just sure that individuals who know how to answer for themselves will not aspire to either choral singing of psalms or to a posthumous paradise. Righteous living, from my point of view, is possible without the help of a sect.
