Assumption Cathedral
Stone five-domed cathedral with a bell tower, built in 1821 in the style of classicism, designed by architect V. Petrov on the site of the former dilapidated wooden church. In 1933 it was closed and its property was nationalized.

During the years of inactivity, the cathedral was partially destroyed and was not preserved in its original form. Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The Vvedensky Church in Ivanovo is the main part of the Vvedensky Convent, located on the street. Basic, 23. The building was built of red brick in 1907 inRussian style as a pillarless five-domed temple. Popularly known as the "Red Church".

Church of Elijah the Prophet
Built in 1842 at the expense of the merchant A. Lepetov. The architecture of the building is made in the style of late classicism. The facades are decorated with four-column porticos. A bell tower adjoins the temple from the west.

In Soviet times, the city archives were located in the church building. Divine services have been resumed since 1990. This temple in Ivanovo acquired its current appearance in 1993 after restoration work.

Cathedral of the Transfiguration
Another famous temple in Ivanovo is the Transfiguration Cathedral, built in 1893 with donations from the manufacturer F. Garelin, designed by architect A. Kaminsky.

The white-stone church was built in the Russian style and has 2 aisles - Nikolsky and Kazansky. The details of the decoration of the church were borrowed from the architecture of the 17th century. On the west side, a hipped bell tower adjoins the church.

Kazan Church
In 1810the buildings of the cotton-printing factory were rebuilt into a prayer house. The project was led by the architect J. Maricelli. In 1903, the prayer house was renovated and renamed the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity.
In 1907, the architect P. Begen reconstructed the building and added five domes. The modified temple received a new name - the Church of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan.

The white-walled brick temple is crowned with black domes, which gives the building an unusual look.
In Soviet times, living quarters were located in the building of the Orthodox shrine. In 1991, the Ivanovo Kazan Church was returned to the Orthodox diocese. Today it is an active church, with daily services.
