Ancient Slavic culture is half-forgotten today. They wanted to deliberately destroy it by forcibly introducing Christianity: after all, faith in the forces of nature and spirits that inhabit the world did not get along with church canons. However, the people's memory lives on. And now many descendants of Dazhdbog's grandchildren are returning to their roots, getting acquainted with how their ancestors lived, what they believed in, what customs they followed.
Svarog - the god of what? People who are just starting to study the Slavic pantheon are interested in this issue. By this name, the eastern branch of our ancestors called the spirit of fire, the family hearth, blacksmithing. He was a great warrior and a heavenly blacksmith with great power. True, it is worth noting that there are very conflicting information about him. For example, another character in Slavic mythology, Dazhbog (the Sun), is called in the Ipatiev Chronicle the son of Svarog, that is, the god of Heaven. Others consider him a solar patron. The Slavic god Svarog has other names. The B altic tribes called him Svarozhich or Radgost and worshiped him in Retre-Radgost (Poland). His attributes were spears and a horse, as well as a huge boar. In Slovakia, he was known as Rarog. It has much in common with the Etruscan Velhans, the Finnish Ilmarinen,Roman Volcano.

Who is Svarog, the god of what, it becomes clear if we translate his name from Sanskrit. The word "svar" means "light, sky", the suffix "og" turns him into a blacksmith. Therefore, the deity can be considered the creator of the sacred fire, its guardian and master. He also patronized the development of knowledge: like the Greek Hephaestus, this god gave ticks to people and taught them to melt iron and copper. Svarog established the first laws on earth, bequeathing to men to have only one wife, and women - only one husband.
The sun god Svarog was a descendant of the chthonic creatures Sitivrat and Krat, but in contrast to them, he owned light, fire and ether. We can assume that this deity replaced the more ancient demiurge gods (as Zeus replaced his father Uranus on Olympus) and gave birth to a new generation. It creates with its hands, without the help of words or magic, therefore it creates the material world.

Svarog - the god of what? Since he patronized blacksmiths, any workshop of these craftsmen, any furnace was his temple. In a real place of worship in front of the idol, a fire should always burn, metal objects should be present. For example, a hammer, a crowbar, an anvil will do, because it was Svarog who introduced people to the Iron Age. For this, humanity brought him trebu in the form of cottage cheese and cheesecakes, symbols of heavenly bread. And the idol itself can have a completely unsightly appearance: an ordinary large stone with a sign of fire applied to it. The feast of the deity is celebrated on the fourteenth of November, the day of the Christian saints. Kuzma and Demyan.
Who is Svarog, the god of what, is not known for certain. We know that he was not included in the Pantheon, compiled by Vladimir before he adopted Christianity, but he is mentioned in ancient Russian written sources. Most likely, it was not a character of mythology formed by someone, but a collective image of the natural element of fire and fire tamed by man. And before such a force, a person has always been in awe.

They perceived the world as a living and wise being, having its own soul and living according to certain laws.
