Many people who start going to church regularly find it hard to fit into its rhythm of life. At first, it seems that there are a lot of security requirements: you need to pray before and after meals, before going to bed and in the morning, before starting any business. It seems that you should almost always pray. Yes, even regular attendance at worship, twice a week at least. In general, there are serious doubts that it can be mastered.
It's actually not that hard. As soon as a person fully realizes that his life is under the constant protection of God, there is a real need to turn to God as often as possible.
But still evening and morning prayers for beginners can be heavy and long. It is difficult to read if you do not understand anything, and even in Church Slavonic. That is why it is recommended to read the morning prayers in Russian first.
Of course, the Russian language is not very suitable for prayer. For the Slavs, the special Church Slavonic language has always been considered ecclesiastical. It is an artificial language that no one has ever spoken. It doesn't have manyeveryday concepts or, for example, curses, as in any ordinary language, but there are many terms for denoting various sinful inclinations. Morning prayers for beginners are also useful with lists of what daily sins are best avoided.
Spiritual life is not a theory, it is a daily, almost hourly work that a person undertakes for the sake of communion with God. It cannot be said that it is boring or uninteresting, because evening and morning prayers for beginners and for monks, liturgies and prayer services are not just reading texts known to everyone with a strange purpose, but communication with God. We can say that these are our replicas of the dialogue, to which there will definitely be an answer. The Lord always answers prayers, but not always in the way we all want, as we expect. So why not pray in your own words then?
You can come up with prayers yourself, you can improvise, but your words turn out to be incomplete and ugly compared to the lines from the prayer book. In addition, evening and morning prayers for beginners force you to think about what the person himself will not guess. For example, few people think on their own to thank God for a good night, for food and he alth. People in general are extremely ungrateful creatures. But any morning prayer for beginners, the text of which is printed in the prayer book, begins with gratitude for earthly blessings. Saying these simple words every day, a person finally realizes that his life is fragile, that it is to God that he owesthat a new day has arrived. Morning prayers begin with the usual preparatory prayers. In Orthodox slang, this is called "from" the King of Heaven" to "Our Father". These prayers include "King of Heaven", "Trisagion", "Holy Trinity" and "Our Father". Then there are several short prayers of thanksgiving for the past night and prosperous awakening. Then comes psalm number 50 and "I believe." The text is in any prayer book.
How are morning and evening prayers performed? Usually, upon waking up or before going to bed, a person turns to the icons in the room and reads all the prayers that are supposed to be. At the end of each prayer, they usually cross themselves and make a bow. Such customs are not obligatory, but let it not be a temptation to the people. It's just that such an alternation of bows and prayers has been verified by experience. All prayers are written by experienced monks who are well versed in human nature.
