The huge legacy left by our ancestors has not been fully explored. Gradually, the passion for finding out the origin of this or that religious symbol or concept fades away. In parallel with this, part of the culture is being lost. In order not to completely lose what our great-grandfathers painstakingly collected with such love, it is necessary to more often turn to the origins of their traditions and customs. It is in the old manuscripts that you can find answers to questions about what the halls are, who Svarog is and where the swastika sign came from. These and many other questions are answered in some detail by the original culture of the Slavs. In this article, we will consider what the Halls are and what is the original meaning of this concept.
The concept of the Svarog circle among the ancient Slavs
Many centuries ago there were no calendars, television and clocks. However, this in no way prevented people from accurately guessing the time of day, month and season. Knowledgeable ancestors read most of the information from the starry sky. It is with the help of it that you can find the answer to the question of what the halls are. ATin the starry sky there is a section along which in one Summer (the outdated meaning of the word year) the sun moves - Yarilo (the ecliptic, or the modern sign of the Zodiac). This area is called the Svarozh circle. In modern terms, this is the orbit of the Earth.
Connection with the zodiac constellations
The concept of "svarogiy circle" is directly related to astrology. If in modern science the Earth revolves around the Sun, changing twelve signs of the Zodiac in turn, then in ancient Slavic culture there were sixteen such signs. Each of them was located in a certain zone of the Svarog circle, which, in turn, was called the Hall. This is where the well-known concept came from. Gradually, the Halls were replaced by zodiacal constellations, and their number decreased by four units.
Patron God by date of birth: Old Slavic astrology
As mentioned above, there were sixteen Halls in total. All of them had their own names and their patrons. Depending on the date, one area of the Svarog circle was replaced by another. The following table shows the Halls by date of birth and their divine patrons. Using this information, you can get information about hidden talents, about addictions and weaknesses that a person did not even suspect.

Based on this table, it can be understoodhow to find out your Hall depending on the month and date of birth. At the same time, there is a characteristic of each of the regions of the Svarog circle.
It is interesting that among the ancient Slavs, the months of the year also had other names, a different frequency and a different number of days. If we compare, it turns out that modern December and part of January are an analogue of the once-used Beylet (b). There were thirty-seven days in Geilet, which spans February and March. In some other months - from twenty-nine to thirty-five days. There were only three seasons in a year: Autumn, Winter and Spring. Each of them contained three months.
Characteristic of one of the parts of the sacred ancient Slavic circle
Let's consider what the Hall of the Bear means. People who were destined by fate to be born between January 7 and 31 are under the protection of one of the most powerful Slavic gods - Svarog. By nature, they are very kind and peaceful. However, this does not prevent them from having some impulsiveness in matters of feelings. Sometimes their hidden explosive potential is revealed in words and deeds. Sometimes it is impossible to guess what to expect from a person born in the Hall of the Bear. Having become the head of the family, he will do everything possible so that his family prospers and is happy. "Bears" have the gift of finding a way out of various, sometimes very serious and difficult situations. The ancient Slavs believed that the sacred plant of a person born during this period is raspberry.
Other concepts of the term in question
However, there are other concepts that reveal to us what halls are. There is a secular and ecclesiastical interpretation of the term in question. Even in tsarist times, rooms and halls, which were decorated with splendor and we alth, were called palaces. Then the meaning of this word began to refer to all the chambers of a merchant or noble house. If you turn to church manuscripts, you can find out that a special elevation in the Moscow Assumption Cathedral was considered a hall. It was there that many royal couples got married. There is another phrase with which the word palaces is used - the palaces of the mind. This is an abstract concept, most often used in literature, characterizing a certain part of our subconscious, where important and valuable information is stored.
