Amulets and their meaning for Slavic families were very different. The most powerful of them was considered a talisman, which served as a horseshoe. This family amulet in ancient times was an adornment of almost any home. Our ancestors believed that a horseshoe brings good luck to the house and protects from all misfortunes and troubles. In addition, this amulet prevents dark vibration and negative energy from entering the dwelling, keeping a good atmosphere in it.

Kolovrat belongs to the group of Slavic protective symbols. Moreover, there are more than a hundred options for its image. So, a drawing with four rays diverging symbolizes the power of fire, with six - the power of the god Perun, and with eight - all the gods of the ancient Slavs.
