One of the most famous on the territory of the Moscow region is the throne of the Life-Giving Trinity. The temple in Konkovo, located in the southwestern part of Moscow, is directly related to the Andreevsky deanery. It is one of the most beautiful Orthodox cathedrals in Moscow.

Historical background

The Soviet period in the history of the church

In the Soviet period, devastation, partial destruction and seizure of valuables awaited the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity. The temple in Konkovo was closed in 1939. Orthodox crosses were knocked off the facade of the building, the head and the drum were completely destroyed. Bells were seized from the belfry, church books and scriptures were confiscated.

The current stage in the history of the church

The temple was restored only in 1990. With the help of sponsorships and donations, the original appearance was reconstructed. By the time of the first Easter service, the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Konkovo was restored in accordance with all church principles. In particular, extraneous things and materials were removed from the building, a temporary iconostasis, a belfry and a bell tower were installed, the Holy Scriptures and additional Orthodox books were purchased.

There are 14 teachers in Sunday school. Lessons are held on Saturday, from 10 am. The educational course includes both general church subjects and additional creative lessons. Students receive knowledge about the Holy Scriptures, about conducting divine services, liturgy, study the Old Slavonic language, the history of the Orthodox Church. Increased attention is paid to iconography, patrology and church singing.

Sunday school pays great attention to the creative development of students. In particular, during the classes there are lessons in needlework and acting. Students participate inOrthodox performances, perform spiritual singing on major religious holidays.

If the path is laid on your own car, then the easiest way to get from the center of the capital is along Profsoyuznaya Street. If the path is laid from the side of the Moscow Ring Road, then you should drive along Profsoyuznaya Street up to the Belyaevo metro station. After that, it is recommended to turn around and drive 700 meters in the opposite direction and turn right, towards the church.

By public transport, the easiest way to get there is by subway. The metro station "Konkovo" is located 530 meters from the church, the station "Belyayevo" - 650 meters.
