The Russian TSHE, to which the Harvest Church in Omsk belongs, is one of the branches of the Pentecostal Christian movement and belongs to the worldwide brotherhood of the Assembly of God. It has about two hundred communities. It is known that during the years of Khrushchev's anti-religious campaign, Pentecostals were recognized as a sect, which, like the Adventist reformists, Jehovah's Witnesses and some others, is anti-state and savage in nature. Later, the authorities made adjustments to their attitude to religious policy. In the late 1960s, Pentecostals were given the right to register autonomous communities. In 1990, an all-Russian association was created, which was called the "Union of Evangelical Christians in the RSFSR."

History of the church "Harvest" in Omsk

This organization was founded in the summer of 1994. AVC/Nehemia provided significant assistance in this regard. A Belarusian missionary group led by S. N. Sviridenko, who arrived in Omsk, held a number of evangelistic services in the Rubin and Kristall Cultural Centers. Then, to organize a prayer house, the building of the Lutheran Church was purchased (24th streetWorking, 27, Oktyabrsky Autonomous District). In parallel, S. N. Sviridenko held services in one of the villages of the Omsk region - Lyubino.

In 1998, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe Kristall cinema in Omsk (Soviet Autonomous Okrug), Gorbenko S., Malyutin D. and Sviridenko S. N. land was purchased at: Energetikov, d. 6A for the construction of a new house of prayer here. In 2000, the construction of the building was completed, after which the organizers decided to unite both churches. Most of the participants in the prayers moved from 24th Rabochaya Street, 27, to st. Energetikov, 6A. Currently, it is here that the services of the church "Harvest" are held. Some parishioners (approximately 30 people) remained in the old prayer house for various reasons. In January 2001, Denis Malyutin took over the duties of the pastor of this church. Today it is called Nehemiah.

In the spring of 2001, an evangelistic screening of the film "Jesus" was held, the church rented the premises of the "Rubin" cultural center. Young people started to come here. Children's ministries were organized.

March 2002 was marked by the creation of a spiritual help center for drug addicts in the village of Upper Karbush. Started working with addicts. In parallel, preventive work was carried out in educational institutions of Omsk and the region. A year later, in 2003, the center in Upper Karbouche was transferred to the Harvest Church.

In the winter of 2003, gypsies began to attend services. After concerts and carefully planned evangelistic eventsin the districts they formed a Gypsy church. In the winter of 2004, a similar event was held in the Chinese market. Shortly thereafter, the Chinese Church was organized. In the summer of 2004, a new center for helping drug addicts and alcoholics was opened here. After the evangelistic services, a church was established in the settlement of Achairsky in the same year.

In 2005, a decision was made to start ministries for the homeless. In 2006, spiritual help centers for drug and alcohol addicts were opened in the city of Isilkul and the village of Krasnaya Tula. In the spring of 2007, the parish began the "Feed the Hungry" ministry. Since then, dinners for the homeless have been held daily at the following address: Omsk, 3rd Ussuriyskaya Street, 16 (in the Moskovka-2 district).

Today

Currently, in Omsk, the Harvest Church continues to conduct active religious, educational and social activities. Divine services in the prayer house (on Energetikov street, 6A) are held according to the schedule:

• Sunday - at 10:00;
• Wednesday - at 18:30.

In addition, on Sundays at 13:00, services are held in the house of prayer, located on the street. Lenina, 45.

The parishioners talk about their participation in the activities of the church like this.
