Knowing oneself is one of the most ancient questions of mankind. Answers, as well as templates, a great many were born during this time. Unfortunately, there is no one right way. Any way of understanding the psyche, even one's own, is not complete without nuances, which in such a complex matter often play a fatal role. Today we will turn to one of these methods, or rather, only to a separate aspect of socionics - white sensory.
Socionics
Socionics is often not taken seriously and has no scientific status. And really, in fact, this is just a concept of personality and character types. It is worth saying that such a discipline is often interpreted ambiguously. Someone sees in it only a simple framework of psychology, while someone sees it as an almost comprehensive science. But here we will consider only its psychological aspect, namely, white sensory.
To have a rough understanding of what is written next, let's take a look at the design from a flight altitude. In socionics, 16 personality types are distinguished, each of which has a letterdesignation, which we will discuss later, and an alias:
- "Stirlitz" (LSE).
- "Maxim Gorky" (LSI).
- "Jack London" (LIE).
- "Robespierre" (LII).
- "Hugo" (ESE).
- "Dreiser" (ESI).
- "Hamlet" (EIE).
- "Dostoevsky" (EII).
- Zhukov (SLE).
- "Gabin" (SLI).
- "Napoleon" (SEE)
- "Dumas" (SEI).
- "Don Quixote" (ILE).
- "Balzac" (OR).
- "Huxley" (IEE).
- "Yesenin" (IEI).
This labeling doesn't look scientific at all and breeds mistrust. However, let's try to discard skepticism and focus on the elements of each sociotype.
Structure
If everything is more or less clear with the pseudonym, then questions arise about the letter designation. In the process of answering them, we will just stumble upon the purpose of the article.
Letter designations reflect the main functions of a particular sociotype. Namely:
- L - Logic.
- S - Sensory.
- E - Ethics.
- I - Intuition.
In this case, the last letter indicates the psychological type of personality:
- E - Extrovert.
- I - Introvert.
That is, for example, LII is a logical-intuitive introvert, SEE is a mensor-ethical extravert. Now let's look at the functionscloser.
Functions
Logic is responsible for thinking, forming facts and analyzing information, in other words, for logical thinking.
Ethics are subjective judgments about an object, evaluation: good or bad, beautiful or ugly.
Sensory - any perception through the senses: eye contact, information heard, comfort or lack thereof.
Intuition is perception through unconscious contact. Covers any objects and phenomena. Premonition of profit or danger is a prime example of intuition.
Here we will focus on sensorics and consider its types.
Sensors
In socionics there are white and black sensorics. Although related to the same function, they are completely different things.
Black sensory is associated with strength, power and will. Those who have such a sensory is a strong aspect give the impression of strong-willed people who are able to force themselves and others to action. Purposeful and reliable, they create their own inviolable borders, beyond which only the "chosen ones" pass.
People with a predominantly white sensory are real masters of comfort, both physical and mental. They always know how to arrange a cozy atmosphere, and therefore a certain ephemeral warmth is always felt next to them. Those with white sensing in a strong form do not necessarily strive to look or act in a "pleasant" way. They are ratherwear this "comfort" in themselves, looking equally harmonious in a strict tuxedo and in a circus clown costume.
Views
Sensorics, like other functions, can be in one of the positions in a person's character. Each position assumes its own kind of function. Consider three types of white sensors:
- Basic.
- Role-playing.
- Painful.
Basic white sensory is called "basic" because it has a dominant position in the personality's character, that is, it is the main one. Based on the concept given earlier, we recall that this is perception through the senses. This means that for such an individual, firstly, physical comfort is very important, which means that the desire for it explains the main goals in life. Secondly, such a person mainly perceives information through these very senses, and not through thinking or intuition.
Role white sensory has a self-explanatory name. Such sensory is the role that a person plays in society. In this context, a person with such a role function strives to create the impression of an economic and practical person who is familiar with comfort firsthand. As soon as the human environment disappears, such a person no longer needs to try on the role of a "warm host". He is not interested in creating comfort for himself.
Painful white sensory is a kind of weak spot in the psyche of the individual. It can manifest itself in many ways:a person either completely ignores it, or perceives it too sharply. In the context of white sensory, a person can either completely ignore body signals and not care about comfort, or experience stress at the slightest physical inconvenience or minor pain. One way or another, it is difficult for a person to adequately assess his capabilities in terms of pain function.
Behaviors
For a better understanding, let's take three abstract examples, one for each type of white sensor. Let's take a closer look at them.
For example, a person whose white sensory is in the main, basic position can be identified by life goals. He, as a rule, strives for a comfortable life for himself and his loved ones. First of all, it is material comfort that is implied. So, if the main goal of a certain person's activity is to earn money, have material we alth and lead a comfortable life, then we can safely assume that he has white sensory as a basic function.
Now consider the following example. Role-playing white sensory, as we remember, does not imply a sincere desire for a comfortable life. This is only the role of the individual within society. So, if someone looks like a person who appreciates comfort and is able to feel comfort, but at the same time does not follow his material condition so much and is not so attached to it, then we can assume that he is only "playing a role".
Painful white sensory can berecognize by an acute or indifferent reaction. That is, a person reacts to its manifestations with extremes, they cause him inconvenience. Let's take the situation of the absence of the usual comfort, for example, a trip with tents and other attributes. A person with pain white sensory will either shy away from every mosquito bite, or behave as if he had spent half his life in such conditions: even the most severe discomfort will go unnoticed. Most often, of course, the former. The second option can be seen as a conscious/unconscious escape from one's own weakness. In other words, such people simply cannot correctly interpret the signals of their own body.
Sociotypes with white sensory
Since we are already at the finish line, for the sake of completeness, we will indicate sociotypes with the above functions.
Basic white sensing:
- Dumas (sensory-ethical introvert).
- Gabin (sensory-logical introvert).
Role-playing white sensory:
- Yesenin (intuitive-ethical introvert).
- Balzac (intuitive-logical introvert).
Painful white sensory:
- Hamlet (ethical-intuitive extrovert).
- Jack London (logical-intuitive extrovert).
Let's draw the line
Of course, this is just one aspect of socionics, and it doesn't give us the full picture. And the whole socionics as a whole does not seem to be a panacea for personal throwing. After all, if you think about it,Jung and many other psychologists devoted their lives to the study of the human psyche. And it would be strange to assume that the answer to their many questions lies in the sixteen personality types. However, "even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." So why don't we draw this starting line through socionics?
