The word "sunnah" is translated from Arabic as "path" or "following". In Islam, this word means following the path of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). Muslims adhere to the sunnah as a model of behavior in life. That is, how the Messenger of Allah lived, how and what he said and behaved in certain situations, is Sunnah. And she serves as an example for every devout Muslim.

Basis of the Sunnah

The Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is based on hadith. Hadith is a clear statement, deeds or actions approved by the prophet in a particular case. It is with the help of hadiths that the modern generation knows how the messenger behaved and what he said, setting an example for everyone who believes in the One God.

All hadiths consist of a text and a chain of transmitters, since the authenticity of the hadiths is very important. They are divided according togroups:

  • Sahih. Authentic hadiths.
  • Hasan. Good hadith.
  • Madrud. Weak hadith.
  • Mavdua. Invented hadiths.

The most authentic are "hadiths from al-Bukhari" and "hadiths from Muslim". The veracity of these statements has been proven by renowned Muslim scholars.

Collections of good hadiths include not very accurate texts that have not been confirmed by the authorities of the Islamic world.

Weak statements are those statements, which were transmitted by people with a dubious reputation. Or if the transmission chain was interrupted.

The fictional texts are those that someone invented for their own gain.

Most Muslims pray according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). However, there are also various branches of Islam that deviate in some respects from the Sunnah. For example, Shiites, Takfirites or Qur'anites. In contrast, other Muslim groups choose as their direction the Sunnah and the Koran of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It is also said that a person adhering to the sunnah will certainly have barakah (mercy) from Allah.

Treatment according to the Sunnah

The Messenger of the Almighty said that the Muslim who revived the sunnah after him, which was forgotten by the majority, loves him. And whoever loves the Messenger of Allah will be with him.

But, unfortunately, many provisions of the Sunnah are forgotten or not widely practiced. So, for example, many Muslims resort to medication during illnesses, avoiding treatment according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.(s.a.s.).

And despite the fact that believers still try not to use medicines containing prohibited substances according to Sharia (Muslim lifestyle), they are advised to follow the Sunnah.

In the hadiths from al-Bukhari and Muslim it is said that there is no disease that cannot be cured. And the Messenger said that if Allah sends a disease, then there will certainly be a cure from it.

In sunnah treatment, natural ingredients are used that do not contain chemical additives. This is:

  • black cumin;
  • olive oil;
  • garlic;
  • honey;
  • water;
  • dates;
  • ginger;
  • Kyst al Hindi (Kostus).

Black cumin is said to be a panacea for all ailments except death. It strengthens the immune system, has an analgesic effect, helps with lactation, asthma, rheumatism, gastritis, diseases of the kidneys, cardiovascular system and much more.

The use of cumin oil is widely practiced, but it is better not to drink it during pregnancy. But the seeds, on the contrary, will be useful for both mother and fetus.

Take cumin when its seeds are crushed. To do this, you can use a mortar or coffee grinder. Take 1 tsp. a day and drink water.

Honey is dissolved in warm water and drunk on an empty stomach in the morning. You only need 1 teaspoon, and the benefits of such water will increase a lot.

Dates are useful for everyone, but they are especially necessary for women during pregnancy or lactation. The minerals and vitamins they contain can preventa large number of diseases, including stomach cancer.

Olive oil will improve appearance and eyesight.

Ginger strengthens the body, helps with colds, calms nerves.

Garlic is an antibacterial product, which also perfectly strengthens the walls of blood vessels and capillaries.

Kyst al Hindi reduces the danger of stressful situations and helps men regain their former strength. It also has an antipyretic and regenerating effect.

Hijama

Hijama is the process of bloodletting. According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the healing power consists of three things - honey, bloodletting and cauterization. However, he personally considered cauterization to be superfluous and forbade it to his ummah (followers).

Islamic scholars recommend doing this procedure any day except Tuesday afternoon. The stomach should not be full or empty. It is not recommended to do any physical activity before this.

According to the hadith, it is clear that the messenger made incisions on any part of the body, depending on the circumstances and the location of the pain.

The benefits of bloodletting were proven by many reputable scientists of the time. The blood removed in this way causes the body to activate almost all systems. Reserves awaken and begin to make up for losses.

In our time, there are still specialists in hijama. Judging by the reviews of many people, it really brings great benefits and healing.

Therefore, the hijama according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is definitely recommended for use.

Three-day fast

The Messenger of the Almighty fasted for 3 days in a row every month on the 13th, 14th and 15th of the Hijri (Muslim calendar). According to the legend of the Sahaba, he did this even during campaigns. And I always tried to open the post with dates.

Friday wear

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How wonderful it is if you have separate clothes that you wear on Fridays."

Therefore, putting on festive clothes on the fifth day of the week, a Muslim follows the sunnah and becomes one step closer to God.

Children

The Messenger paid attention to every person from his community and respected everyone. He warmly welcomed not only adults, but also small children. According to numerous hadiths, it is clear that he appreciated and considered them also full-fledged residents of his ummah.

Ishraq prayer

If a Muslim, after the morning Fajr prayer, waits for sunrise and then after 20 minutes he does another prayer of 2 rak'ahs, then he will perform Ishraq prayer.

According to the messenger, the one who does this worship of the Almighty will receive a reward both for the Hajj and Umrah (large and small pilgrimage to Mecca).

Sleep position

According to the Sunnah, the correct sleeping position is on the right side with both hands under the cheek. Sleeping on your stomach, according to Islam, is very undesirable. So, one day, when he saw one sahab sleeping, the prophet told him that this position is very unloved by the Almighty Creator.

Miswak

The hadith from Tirmizi says that the prophet said that he was afraid to complicate his ummah if he ordered to use miswak all the time.

The Messenger of Allah was very attentive to oral hygiene. After all, dental he alth is important to people. And miswak contains substances that kill many bacteria in the mouth, keep teeth clean and breath fresh.

Miswak is made from arak wood and is very inexpensive and easy to find in Islamic stores.

Three knots

According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), when a person goes to bed, the shaitan ties 3 knots over him, saying over each that the night is long, so you need to sleep soundly.

When a Muslim gets up for morning prayer and praises with wordsAlmighty, the first knot breaks. Performing ablution, a Muslim unravels the second knot. And having done the prayer, the believer unties the third knot.

That is why morning worship is so important for every believer in Allah.
