The Holy Matrona of Moscow, for whose help people from all over Russia are crying out, was born in the Tula province in the Nikonorov family, Natalia and Dmitry. This divine event took place on November 10 in the village of Sebino, Klimovsky district.
Divine message
A blind girl was born. For parents who were already aged, this became a problem. They began to think about leaving the baby in a shelter.
One night, in a dream, a vision came to Matrona's mother, as if a very beautiful, unusually bright, divine bird had flown to her. This white bird was completely blind. She simply had no eyes, and her eyelids were tightly closed, like her daughter's. The bird landed on the woman's chest.
In her mother's dream it became so warm and unusually calm from her presence that when she woke up, Natalya decided that this dream was a sign "from above" and her parents decide not togive the girl to a shelter.
The baby grew up and tried to fill her loved ones and the whole house with happiness and kindness. Matrona was the fourth child in the family. Two brothers, Ivan and Mikhail, as well as an older sister, Maria, grew up with her. By the age of 8, Matronushka, as her parents and close people who loved her called her, began to treat sick people, and also, completely unexpectedly for everyone, talk about what will happen in the future and happened in the past.
Youth of Saint Matrona
By the age of 18, Matronushka's legs were paralyzed. Being not only blind, but also practically immobilized, Matrona did not lose her fortitude. Possessing great willpower and natural cheerfulness, the girl traveled with her friend, the daughter of a landowner, Lydia Yankova. Together with her, they made pilgrimages to the holy places of Russia.
They visited many cities. Together, the girls visited the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, and also visited the Kronstadt Cathedral, where, according to legend, the Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt, seeing Matrona, asked the parishioners to make way for the girl and, calling her "my shift and the eighth pillar of Russia", called to him.
Life during the revolution
In 1917 comes the revolution. The matron, who lived in her parents' house, began to think about the fact that she could unwittingly invite trouble on her family. This could be due to her divine gift, because during the revolution, the neighborhood of ardent party members, which became her older brothers, and their blessed sister was absolutelyunwanted.
Matrona and her friend Lydia start looking for work in the city. The matron was left homeless and was forced to live where she could be sheltered. She arrived in Moscow in 1925.
Everywhere Matronushka was followed by novices who looked after the sick mother. Wherever she was, people followed her to once again see the miracle of the Matrona of Moscow. She never refused to help any of her petitioners.
How to write a note to Matrona of Moscow
Many came to mother personally or brought their relatives to her, but it was also possible to write a letter to Matrona of Moscow. The servants read these notes aloud to her, and Matronushka read a prayer and dictated the answer to a question of interest.
People wondered: “How to write a note to the Matrona of Moscow?” First of all, as mother herself said, words should come from a pure heart. First of all, you need to ask for Matrona's prayer for yourself and your loved ones, and then only ask for help in what worries you the most and burdens your soul.

The attitude of the Holy Matrona of Moscow to magicians and sorcerers
Every person, at a certain moment of life, has a desire that is for himpriority. Matronushka helped in healing the sick from the slander of sorcerers, psychics and other magicians. More than anything in her life, she disliked them and disapproved of the actions of those who turned to her for help.
Once an old man came to Matrona. There were tears in his eyes. He wholeheartedly asked his mother to save her son from a fatal illness. Matronushka called him to her and put her hand on his head (she always did this to “look” at people), after which she uttered only one phrase: “What did you do to him? To death or sickness? "To death," the man replied. Mother drove him away and could do nothing to help. She had the gift not only to see and feel the present, but also to see the actions, thoughts of people in the past and future.
Miracles in the lives of people who turned to Matrona for help
Holy Matronushka never asked for anything. People themselves brought food and other things to her in gratitude for her help.
Matrona never lived in the same house for a long time. Her whole life was spent in wanderings. Many times they tried to arrest her, but, as a rule, the day before they were supposed to visit her, she packed her things and left for another place with her servants.
One day they managed to catch my mother in the house before leaving. The officer who came to fulfill the received order saw Matrona sitting on a chest in the room. She sat quite still and seemed to be waiting for him. As soon as he entered the room, mother said: “Now you need to go home and save your wife. She is in danger. Don't worry about me. I'm blind and nowhererun away.”
Soldier could not make up his mind for a long time, but still went home. What was surprising was that he managed just in time to take the woman to the hospital. She stayed alive. As it turned out later, there was a fire and if her husband had not arrived in time, she could have burned out in the house. The next day, when the officer was again ordered to arrest Matrona, he flatly refused to comply with the order. “If not for my mother, my wife would have died. I won't do it. Matrona saved our family from a great misfortune.” It was a real miracle of the Matrona of Moscow, like many others.
Matrona loved people and tried to help them in every way she could. Sometimes it was just advice or a kind word, but there was always a prayer to the Lord God.
One day a woman came to mother. She complained a lot about her fate. A few years ago, her relatives forcibly married her, and since then she has been living in an unhappy marriage and, moreover, cannot have children. Then Matrona said that you can ask God for anything you want, but he will not be able to help the one who asks without his desire. Man is the embodiment of God. A woman must obey her man and accept her fate. For every civil marriage, Matrona considered a wedding to be obligatory. This is exactly what Matrona of Moscow is about. What can you ask after these words?
After a conversation with Matrona, each person found comfort and peace. The woman listened to the advice and, as a result, a year later gave birth to a baby.
Last Mother's Days
MatronaMoskovskaya lived in Moscow until 1952. May 2 of this year is the day of the death of the Matrona of Moscow. Currently, May 2 is the day of memory of the Matrona of Moscow.
Matrona knew about her death for 3 days, as people who were with the old woman in her last days assure. But until the very last minute, mother received visitors. During the day, Matronushka helped those in need, and at night she prayed.
Throughout her life, as the novices said, Matronushka did not sleep, but only dozed, putting her fist under her head and curled up. That is how she was remembered. Small, fragile, with short arms and legs. As a child, she was vulnerable. But this is only an external impression. The matron possessed great inner strength, which the Lord God gave her at birth.
Memorial Day of the Matrona of Moscow is also considered March 8 (the day of the "Uncovering of the Relics"), as well as October 5.
The attitude of others towards the Holy Matrona during her lifetime
During the 67 years that mother lived in this world, thousands of people came to her. Some of them wrote a letter to Matrona of Moscow, and some came to her with their whole family. Matronushka blessed them all and made them believe in the Lord. Those who came to her under duress, reluctantly, left her with a calm heart.
But there were also those who did not like Matrona or did not want to believe in her destiny. A lot of people were just afraid of her. They were afraid of the truth she might tell them. From these people shenever wanted to take anything as a token of gratitude. She also felt people treat her and never wanted to burden them with her presence.
63 years have passed since her death, people have not lost faith in the power of her invisible help. Throughout Russia, people write notes to the Holy Matrona of Moscow. Many make the pilgrimage to the grave where she was buried.
Both during life and after death, she helps everyone to one degree or another. The Matrona of Moscow is considered the guardian of the hearth, helps in situations related to he alth (very often pregnant women pray to the Matrona), family relationships (relieves drunkenness), protects travelers. When going on a trip, do not forget to ask the Matrona for a blessing on the road.

Gifts from Matronushka
During life, mother loved flowers very much. All her petitioners knew about it and tried to come to her with them. Her whole room, wherever she was, was in flowers almost all the time. Even now, when people come to the Intercession Monastery, you can see bouquets in everyone's hands. These are roses, daisies, daffodils, peonies, asters, chrysanthemums and many others. All flowers are different colors. There is a feeling that people came to the holiday.
All the flowers that people bring to the temple, the sisters keep. When leaving the temple, they distribute a bunch of flowers to all those who suffer. It is believed that if you save and bring flowers home, the blessing of the Holy Matrona will always be with you.
Everyone who queues for the Matronushka icon has a puzzled expression, but when they leave, you can see hope and even happiness on people's faces.
Coming to the temple, people ask the sisters what exactly the Holy Matrona can help with. The sisters speak of her as a saint who throughout her life tried to guide people on the path of light and goodness.
She asked people to pray more often and take communion in the temple; do not discuss any of the close and unfamiliar people;not to be offended by the words and deeds of the sick and the elderly; do not think about your dreams (they come from the evil one); illuminate yourself with the cross more often, especially the food you eat; try not to pick up things and money on the street; do not turn to sorcerers and magicians.
The most important thing is to know and believe that our deeds are recorded in 2 books. One of which is a book of sins and evil deeds, and the other is a book of good deeds done by a person with all his heart. The Matrona of Moscow said that you can ask God for everything and not be afraid to do good to people.
Coffins with the relics of St. Matrona are delivered to the cities of Russia for worship.
