The trend in the restoration and construction of architectural monuments, which started in the era of the 90s, is currently continuing to gain momentum. Moreover, the construction of churches, cathedrals and temples takes place in many Russian regions. And in this regard, the Republic of Chuvashia is no exception. Residents of the regional capital can be proud of the fact that a unique object of religious significance, consisting of twelve domes, rises on their land. Moreover, many tourists and pilgrims come here only to see the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary). In terms of architectural style, it resembles the churches of Ancient Byzantium.
History
The first stone of the cathedral was laid back in 2001. Then Bishop Alexy II himself came to the Cheboksary-Chuvash diocese with a visit. He consecrated the stone, which became the foundation of the building cathedral. The object was built in the north-west of Cheboksary. This process took five whole years. The project was financed by private investment. Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary) became perhaps the main new building in Chuvashia. The construction process of the facility was personally supervised by the headRepublic Nikolay Fedorov and the local Metropolitan Barnabas.
The construction of a library and a Sunday school was also planned on the territory of the temple.
In the spring of 2006, the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary) was partially consecrated by Metropolitan Varnava. The clergyman performed the ritual in relation to the lower temple. The throne of the upper church was erected in honor of the Ever-Virgin Mary and the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the lower one was erected in honor of the Holy Martyr Tatiana.
Power
In the autumn of 2006, the revered icon of the martyr Tatiana and a particle of her relics, as well as the remains of Bishop Innokenty of Irkutsk, were delivered from the Vvedensky Monastery to the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary). This event was marked by a procession. Barnabas soon consecrated the upper temple of the cathedral.
And then the relics of hermits from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, particles of the remains of St. Panteleimon, as well as an icon with a fragment of the relics of the naval commander Fyodor Ushakov, the face of the Most Holy Theotokos were transferred to the Intercession-Tatian Cathedral (Cheboksary).
School
The Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary, address: Michmana Pavlov St., 17) is also a place for children to learn. Here, experienced mentors are engaged in their spiritual and moral education. Moreover, they not only explain to the children the meaning of the "God's word", but also take care of the physical development of children, giving them the opportunity to play sports games or take a walk in the forest.
