Temple of all religions in Kazan… It would seem that the very existence of such a complex is already absurd. But the location of this temple in distant and not even well-known Kazan - even more so. Well, why not Rome, or, for example, not Moscow? And yet it exists and has already gained considerable fame.

The temple of all religions in Kazan is an unusual and unique building, which has no analogues. Its construction began in the last decade of the last century (1994). The author and at the same time the owner of the complex decided to show all people that the thoughts of faith are bright and close in meaning, regardless of belonging to religion. At the entrance to Kazan, travelers see a temple built near the great Volga. The first reaction of tourists is absolutely calm - an ordinary church, of which there are so many in Russia … But after a second, a strange disturbing feeling arises: something is not right … The gaze is attracted like a magnet … And suddenly it dawns: there is a Jewish synagogue, and an Orthodox church, and a Muslim Mosque…
The temple of all religions in Kazan is amazinginterweaving of sixteen religious currents of the world. Now it is still under construction. But on the territory it is quite possible for anyone to walk. The basis of the art gallery located here is the work of contemporary artists. The concert hall of the Temple is also open to visitors, where musical performances by professional musicians take place.

The Temple of All Religions (Kazan), the photo of which is evidence of this, is actually an amazing building. The idea to unite the domes of various churches in one ensemble came to Ildar Khanov during his long travels: there are many religions, but there is only one God! Construction began on six acres of their own land. Surprisingly, Ildar was supported by both local entrepreneurs and ordinary tourists. Although it is impossible to say that the idea has permanent sponsors, the Temple of All Religions in Kazan is being built mainly on one-time donations and at the expense of the architect himself, around whom, by the way, whole legends have long been composed. They say that Ildar Khanov, who was born in 1943, died while still very young. During the wartime famine, the death rate was so high that it no longer surprised anyone. Parents did not dare to bury the child immediately. And on the third day, when they began to put on a shroud, he suddenly came to life. The father exchanged the only pair of his shoes for milk, thanks to which little Ildar managed to get out. Soon the artist woke up in the boy, only charcoal and beetroot replaced the paints, and instead of the canvas there were newspapers.
Then there was an art school,Surikov Institute, personal exhibitions, recognition. Most of the paintings painted by Khanov are in museums in Russia. But even this seemed to him not enough. Obsessed with the desire to comprehend the essence of the world and the meaning of life, Khanov travels a lot, studying oriental medicine, yoga, and Buddhism. It was then that the Universal Temple began to take on a still vague outline. Soon Ildar decided to return home to bring what he saw to life.

Construction is not over yet, although the main ideas have already been implemented. It will take about an hour to see the sights. You will not see a spiritual person in the Temple. There are no services here. But if you are attracted by everything unusual and unique, be sure to visit Kazan. The temple of all religions, the address of which not every local will name, is quite easy to find. You can get there by train or bus (No. 2 and No. 5). Both options are convenient. Boarding the bus is made either at the stop "Children's World" (corner of the public garden), or at the stop "Railway Station". If you decide to travel by train, take a ticket to the "Old Arkachino" (the bus stop has the same name). Well, there you will immediately understand where to go - a bright building and high domes are visible from afar.
