Reverend Lawrence of Chernigov

Schiarchimandrite Lavrenty was a prophet of the Soviet era. In the world, his name was Proskura Luka Evseevich, who was born in the village of Karilskoye near the city of Koropa, Chernihiv province (Ukraine). He grew up in a peasant pious and believing family and was the sixth child. Once he was playing with the guys and he hurt himself badly, this was the reason for his lameness. But the Lord, as if in recompense for physical damage, rewarded Luke with manytalents. He had an excellent musical ear and loved to sing.

Once fate brought him together with the director of the imperial choir, who was from these places. He immediately saw in the boy a talent for music and began to teach him the regency business. He taught Luka to play the violin, and already at the age of 14, as a young man, he became the regent of the church choir. And after 6 years he became a novice of the Rykhlovsky Nikolsky Monastery. The monastery choir, led by Luke, was distinguished by its pure sound, special prayerful singing and strict observance of the rites of worship.

Bishop of Chernigov Anthony (Sokolov), having learned about such a gifted regent, in 1905 transfers him to the Chernigov Trinity-Ilyinsky Monastery. When he was 45 years old, in 1912, Luke was tonsured a monk and received the name Lavrenty. Two years later he became a hierodeacon and was ordained a hieromonk in 1916.

In Kyiv in 1923 Father Lavrentiy was tonsured into the schema by Father Lavrentiy, Sheigumen of the Caves Lavra, and in 1928 he was awarded the rank of archimandrite.

Split

During the time of the schism, Lavrenty Chernigov immediately took the side of Patriarch Tikhon and condemned the godless Soviet regime. He also did not recognize the Orthodox Church Abroad, as he believed that the true Church was now being cleansed in Russia in the crucible of repression and persecution.

From 1917 to 1925 in Chernigov on Boldina Hill near the Trinity Monastery, Archimandrite Lavrentiy Chernigovskiy dug out a cave for himself and, like the venerable elders of the Caves Anthony and Theodosius,accepted the feat of cave life.

In 1930 the Trinity Monastery was closed. Only at night Father Lavrenty could receive spiritual children in a small wretched hut, sometimes he served Divine services in the Elias chapel.

War

During the Great Patriotic War, Chernihiv was besieged by the Nazis. The elder was then 73 years old, and at that time he was able to organize two monastic communities: the male one consisted of 35 monks and the female one of 70 nuns. On Easter 1942, Lavrenty resumed service in the cathedral church.

After the closing of the monastery, he lived in the house of the nun Evlampia. From her words, an amazing incident was recorded, and there were witnesses to this, that in 1939 the priest talked all night with the saints - the Prophet Elijah and the righteous Enoch, with whom they talked about the fate of the world and about Russia. The Holy Fathers warned him that soon he would also talk with the Apostle John the Theologian. And it happened, only 10 years later in 1949.

Time of death

Reverend Lawrence of Chernigov visited the holy lands of Athos and Palestine three times in his entire life.

In the period from 1942 to 1950 he lived in the Trinity Monastery in the city of Chernigov. He went to the Lord for Baptism on January 19, 1950. On March 5, 1950, the body of Elder Lawrence was placed in the tomb.

During the time of Khrushchev in 1962, the church was closed, and access to the relics was prohibited until 1988. On August 22, 1993, the Monk Lawrence of Chernigov was canonized as a saint. When they opened his tomb,the whole tomb was saturated with the heavenly fragrance of oil. Today, the holy relics rest in the Trinity Cathedral in the city of Chernihiv.

Lavrentiy Chernigovsky: prophecies

Today, the prophecies of the holy elder Lawrence about what awaits our holy land are passed from mouth to mouth. Previously, these prophecies were not very clear, but today, in connection with the tragic events in Ukraine, a lot of things are being revealed right before our eyes.

Here is what Lavrentiy Chernigovskiy says about Ukraine: the time will come when inactive and destroyed churches will be rebuilt and restored outside and inside, the domes of churches and bell towers will be gilded. And when the work is finished, the time of the Antichrist will come, and it will be impossible to go to these magnificent temples. This will happen because they will not have the Holy Spirit, as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will split.

Antichrist

Elder Lawrence of Chernigov retold that the Antichrist would be born by a prodigal Jewish maiden from the twelfth tribe of "fornication". He will be a smart and capable boy. But at the age of 12, while walking in the garden with his mother, Satan enters into him. In this youth in the human form, the Antichrist will ripen. And I will crown him in the temple of Jerusalem. Everyone will be allowed to enter this city, but you should refrain from this trip so as not to be seduced.

At the initiation of the Antichrist, the prayer "Creed" will be read, but when the words about Jesus are heard, he will recognize only himself. The patriarch recognizes the Antichrist in him, but he immediately dies. Antichrist will begloves, and when he takes them off, claws will be found on his hands, and this will be a sign. The prophets Elijah and Enoch will immediately descend from heaven, whom he will kill, and they will immediately rise and return to heaven.

False signs

The Antichrist will be cunning and flattering, will send false signs to people. Not in the church, but in every home there will be seductive devices (in our time, apparently, televisions) that will seduce people. Many will want to get news from there, and the Antichrist will appear in them, who will begin to “stamp” his people with seals. Christians will be hated because they will refuse the seal of Satan and will be persecuted. These seals will be such that a person will immediately be seen whether he accepted it or not. But you should not lose heart, the Lord will not abandon his children.

Godless

Returning to his prophecies, it is worth noting that Lavrenty Chernigov predicted a church schism in Ukraine. He said that all false teachings would come out together with demons and secret atheists (Catholics, self-sanctified Ukrainians, Uniates, etc.). All together they will take up arms against the canonical Orthodox Church. The godless state power will support these heretics, as well as help to take away Orthodox churches and beat the faithful. The schismatic metropolitan of Kyiv, who is unworthy of this title, together with his bishops and priests at this time will greatly shake the Russian Orthodox Church. But then he will wait foreverdestruction, like Judas, and he will drag his followers with him.

But all slander and false teachings in Russia will disappear. The Russian Church will remain united and unshakable. In Kyiv, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will never have its own Patriarch, since Moscow has always been and will always be his place.

Once Elder Lavrentiy also warned the priesthood, among whom was the abbot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Father Kronida, to beware of the unions and samosvyatov, to which the priest objected that, they say, after 1946 they had long since disappeared. But Lawrence continued that the demon would enter into them, and they would take up arms against the Orthodox with wild frenzy, but a shameful death awaited them, and their followers would be punished by the Lord.

Holy Russia

St. Lawrence strictly and persistently said that Russia and Russian are our native words. Kyiv is the mother of Russian cities and the second Jerusalem.

He always made me remember that it was the Baptism of Russia, not Ukraine. And he also said that in Poland there was a secret Jewish capital, and therefore the Jews constantly forced the Poles to go to war against Russia. The Poles gave the conquered lands, along with monasteries and churches, to the Jews, who often forbade making rites.

The Jews did not like to pronounce the word "Rus" and "Russian". Therefore, they called the Russian lands "outskirts". A little later, this imaginary Judeo-Polish outskirts received the legal name "Ukraine", and the people began to be called "Ukrainians", so that in this way the "Russians" would break away forever from Holy Orthodox Russia.

The saint's prophecies come true, and not retroactively, but on time and now. The time has come for analysis, we must be wise and prudent, and it is better not to listen to the beautiful words of those who profess a negligent spiritual life and serve their mammon.
